Ouch. That's one of those epic domino moments you just can't make up.

Hope today's a much better day for you!!!

Oh (((Trilo))), that's the kind of domestic-disaster-at-the-last-minute that's caused by mad scrambling and make the mad scramble ten times worse, gosh. So sorry!

I hope your fish can get settled into a safe new home before you have to leave them, wow.

Okay: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: for me, I have to work now.

Wow, Trilo! What a way to start a day!!
Hopefully, all the difficult challenges are now out of the way, and everything will fall together for the rest of your prep.

Best of luck for a smooth 'finishing up~loading up~driving up' and we'll see you soon!

Will there be NDNtacos sold at the Nixon school? Or does anyone have a better recommendation? I did Oasis 29 coming in last year and they were sub par. The Nixon school folks tacos on the way out were superior in every respect except for the price. But one year a little mom & pop was selling them on the right hand side of 447 and they were great. Haven't seen them since 2009. Any recommendations for Indian tacos?
On the way in and on the way out, Pizzamancer and I stopped at the first stand off I-80 when you get into Wadsworth (coming from the direction of Reno), before turning on 447. Nice people, yummy tacos. Hope they're still there.

Puh, puh.... Loading is underway. I will be wishing for help to unload this junkyard Wednesday afternoon.
Bicycles must be made of lead. Certainly the Huffys.
Snapshot shows Millicent about half loaded -- all the scaffolding and 20 of the bicycles. Rugs separate layers of bikes so they don't get too hopelessly tangled.

That's one helluva pack there, Elliot! Bin Noddin....BOTH! Yggy, I think we're probably related in another dimension.... thanks everyone for the kind words. Fish made it through the night, and despite loads of work and mess to deal with, we're doing okay. Off to our final camp meeting, then back to work! Have a great day!

Did you know that Oasis 29 was NAMED by burners on the way out of BRC in '09?

The guy was with the HeeBeeJeeBee Healers who came up with it, and a bunch of us agreed while we ate our tacos at 10 p.m. I gifted the lady behind the counter with a t-shirt from the BRC Division of Geology that year. Dr. Pyro, I'm sort of surprised you said they were sub-par last year. They were great for me.

Well, Indian tacos are something like sex I suppose: Even sub-par NDNtacos are pretty good. It's just that they needed more flavor and choices of seasonings whereas the Nixon school were better. Don't get me wrong: If there are no other stands open on Saturday before Oasis 29 I will be glad and willing to give them my business. They are an order of magnatude better that what you'll find in, oh, say Empire or Gerlach.

The first year I saw the signs that said NDN tacos, I thought it was letters, like YMCA, and I was puzzling what the N d and N stood for. I knew I wanted to stop for Indian Tacos, since I enjoyed fry bread when I visited the 4 corners area. I wondered who I was supporting with my purchase. DOH!

I am repacking the bins which go with all of us
but in the process I find that I didnt want to let go of the many items that come along from the playa each year
the photos the survival guides the early sanctuary notations ..okay some of the things are already pruned away; but tomorrow I am going to the container store to find the right container.

Hi everyone, just wanted to pop in for a quick second and tell everyone safe travels and see you soon on the playa. Trilo, sounds like you can use some time away from reality. Hope everything goes better for you in the next days before heading out. Elliott, crazy. That's awesome though with all the smiles you will bring. I packed yesterday all day and my trailer and truck are loaded beyond belief. Today laid low with a small fever and aches. Not good to be sick out there. Doc and MDF, see u Sat! Really excited to see everyone *kiss kiss*

I found a lot of stickers in with the WWW guides, and old survival handbooks. I just decided it's time to put the stickers on things. Trying to cut back on the souvenirs in shoe boxes if I can help it.

That's funny! I thought the very same thing today, looking at the stickers, and had second thoughts about putting them on my huge insulated cup... they'd get ruined when I wash it, or I'd have to wash just the inside.
The stickers ended up back in the box.............................. :?

That's not likely this year. I'm not one to jump in with just my underwear on - so to speak, Aserendipity.
But I appreciate the sentiment. :)
On a plus note, I am already putting together my theme camp for 2014! Then, perhaps, I will enjoy a dinner with you? :coffee:
