I posted the test, then it blocked me, again. It's a fickle bitch. (assuming this posts makes it).

I tried posting too, only to see I'm blacklisted. This note will probably not be posted...

Blackisted, or not anymore...this is a test.

I see Patsh, ygmir, MGB. “Test” is how we say hi anymore. When they say “IT is on it”, do they mean they mean are monitoring how it runs down to nothing?

:coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: I’m filling the biggest thermos, who knows how long it will stay hot. When DVD Burner stops posting it makes me wonder who isn’t locked out. Could be the holiday.

I have a turkey to cook still, maybe tomorrow. It’s still frozen, but in the refrigerator. Not up for any heroic defrosting measures.

Peace.

The frustration is across the board. I've been blacklisted myself. It almost appears that whoever put this new software on, isn't checking to see what the effect is. The mystery IT person is definitely aware that this is not working.

Not aware... Is it anybody, really? Is there an end run complaint option? The doing it wrong email?

:coffee: :coffee: what to make of a diminished thing?

*sigh*I wish people still read things to find answers for their questions. This forum is a goldmine of useful actionable engaging ideas and information. I’m tired of getting scolded like an underling for not supplying a shopping list and pricing to people who want to know if their battery pack and solar panel kit will run an ac in their shiftpod. I used to enjoy helping, now I am hesitant to face these bosses. I suggested ohms law, pen paper and calculator, and was told I was just being condescending and medicating my ego by not giving a useful answer, (like which theme camp can take care of that problem.) What happened? These are burners? *stokes fire* I’d prefer a new chapter.

I’m cooking a turkey today. There will be soup and meat for a few weeks. I may help a friend today fashion an antenna for free tv.

we'll see if it worked.

Looking better. I’m understanding that It isn’t that people (not to be grouped as the “powers that be”) don’t care. It’s that there is a hole in the world, there is a hole in experience, in staffing, and familiarity, and it’s a frigging holiday. Not much to be done about any of that. I can be more patient. Good thing we have a coffee maker that can run unattended for a while. Thanks ygmir.

MGB, good to see you also!

Greetings and hallo to everyones!
I am having rare opportunity to post, from wilds of Morrocco, I was been trying to post for some days ago, to share developments of the still electricity project we had began on playa and with helping from so many here.
I will see if a post now can come here, so will save so much texting thumbs to making sure it works.
If so I can post if anyone wonders what we have been happening, since the jail time in Portugal and all we endured when leaders and us engineers were dropped upon.
I can posting when again I am having interwebz connection, but not sure when.
All best to my eplaya friends.

kvon! A holiday miracle, so nice to hear from you after a long absence. The Portugal adventure is a tale I’d love to hear about, if I haven’t already. Jail? You say? Future theory Electrical generation is becoming more and more a playa issue, your expertise may be called back?

Thanks Trilo, yes. gaminwench, some seeing eye, good you are unblacklisted. That’s a pretty punitive sounding term, a secret prohibition, not publicly acknowledged. Didn’t it just used to be called “blocked?”

Testing again.
This time, it took over 18 minutes to get in, though I didn't have to prove I'm human 45 times. I guess they've lowered their standards.
So, now to see if I'm blacklisted again...

edit to add: Yay! it worked!!

Evidently this is not a test

Glad to see things are beginning to work again here on eplaya, and see friends shaking off the dust from the latest whiteout. Thanks to those brainiacs who did the repairs.

*takes swig of Bushmills*

Thanks GW

Familiar faces, and a blast from the past as well. I somehow hadn't equated kvon with the Ein Hammer/Jellyfish crew, but that was right about the time I first showed up, and everything was a blur. I still remember being amazed by Ein Hammer my first year (2010) and the realization dawning on me regarding the time and effort that people put into TTITD. Quite the inspiration!

I hope the weather there cooperates yg. I read recently where it was reported that a meteorite landed somewhere out your way. Was that ever confirmed? Sounds like it may be time for the bespectacled gent from Farmers Insurance to either "put up or shut up", eh?

HI BVB!!
yeah, I think the thread name was "Power to the Playa... from Germany" or some such? Kvon and crew I believe contacted Jellyfish and started posting here on their thread, then spun off their own thread?
following along with the progress and setbacks was fun.

yeah, people saw it fall and when they got there the house was on fire and messed up on one end. The resident said he heard a bang and the house was burning. There are no report of finding a meteor, but, local advise was if they do find it, don't tell anyone and put it up for sale to private collectors. So yeah, no confirmation other than eye witnesses and a short video of a witness arriving on scene.
