Well technically neither of those examples are insects, but I had a Rose Hair Tarantula named Sally. When I went off to college, she went to one of my science teachers. She was very friendly and easily handled.

Early spring when they blossom, I could surely use a chainsaw. I'd prefer the arable land in central San Joaquin valley CA be used more diversely.
TPBM finds themselves compulsively shopping for things to take to the desert! often realizing you already have it (a habit), don't need it(blinky shiny silliness) or don't have the space for it.

Drive in? Only the time was when we snuck a friend in in the trunk and we drove over every bump and dip we could find in the dirt lot. I did used to cruise the 'vard. From White City Bowling up to Ben Lomond Lanes and back, again and again. 25 blocks of obnoxious teenageers riding in cars.

Absolutely! I'd rather be able to get into the ocean, rather then float hundreds of feet above it sitting in a hot tub.
