Well technically neither of those examples are insects, but I had a Rose Hair Tarantula named Sally. When I went off to college, she went to one of my science teachers. She was very friendly and easily handled.

Early spring when they blossom, I could surely use a chainsaw. I'd prefer the arable land in central San Joaquin valley CA be used more diversely.

Drive in? Only the time was when we snuck a friend in in the trunk and we drove over every bump and dip we could find in the dirt lot. I did used to cruise the 'vard. From White City Bowling up to Ben Lomond Lanes and back, again and again. 25 blocks of obnoxious teenageers riding in cars.
