I wish I had some leads for you. I will keep my ear to the ground and if I hear anything I will let you know.Kinetic V wrote:I appreciate the responses and I've got 2 new job prospects to look into this morning which is more than I had last night.
Thanks for the support, its definitely needed.
I know when I lost my job and was dealing with a possible eviction and pending legal action with my landlord here in LA (all in one week), I put it out there to the burner community and people REALLY helped. I needed to know my legal rights and a lawyer PM'd me some great info and helped me on the right path which ended up in me winning a small claims against my aweful landlord/slumlord. I needed a place to move FAST and didn't have the money right then and there. A burner set me, my roommate, and my cat up in a decent place they owned and defered the payment so I could get all set up.
I finally just got a job and I really love it and a burner helped me get it. I know that if you keep putting your energy out there into this community, someone will know what to do to help you. It's important to be able to rely on ourselves, but sometimes life throws you a curve ball. That's when it's important to let those who can and WANT to help do so.
All the love, respect, and warmth in the world.
Finally moving to SF...can't WAIT!

Hey, KineticV - it's better that we hear now so that if someone can and wants to help, you've given us the opportunity. I'll rack my brain but I don't know anyone down there.
The important thing is to focus on your intention: to provide your family what they need. Keep putting that out there and things will start to fall into place.

I won't keep cluttering the thread up but I will post an update. I'm in Vegas with my fiancee and my mother and father in law. My mother in law had a phone interview with Zappos.com today for a position she's wanted for a long time. The interview went very well but she learned that the hiring process to get in the door there can take up to 6 months. Well...we don't have 6 months to wait around.
Long story short as a family we have decided to regroup and while we still have resources left to fall back to Denver. At least a look at the job boards shows DOUBLE the jobs posted for Denver than for Las Vegas. But I'm still going to be in the same boat there as I am here. So...I'll adjust my earlier request. If anyone knows of work, customer service, IT work, etc in Denver (sorry can't drive to Colorado Springs or Fort Collins) please let me know.
FaeTora, I got your PM. Does XXXX have openings in Colorado at the moment?
mod note: after reading the discussion below, I took out the name of the company for FT. Apologies to K for the edit. Hope it was the correct content. Let me know otherwise, FT or K.

You may have to ask Dork or AntiM. There's a limit on how long you can edit your posts.
So, quick trip to safeway and you're done?

YG you sweet talker.
I work in a very republican state with a lot of people who would rather a straight girl do my job, but I make them a large sum of money. This, I have to say wouldn't go over well at all. One google search and they would have a sit down with me about how I am not the image they want to convey.
oh well. ::crosses fingers::

We break to remind us how to mend.
So now you have your own works...
I had a great day.
I finally learned how to hit myself up.
I seemed to have a block that made me reluctant, and the awkwardness of the angles is very offputting.
Probably would have been much easier with the motivation of illicit narcotics, but allergy shots don't seem to have the same allure, I suppose.
Odd, since I've done enough minor surgery on myself.
And I'm sure I would have no problem injecting any of you guys.

(CLARK pops in briefly---cleans out the grounds in the maker & begins a new batch of coff') Hello sput (congrats friend
! Will see ya playa-side!), FT, ygmir, (pats KIV on the back) SNap...work tonight...when I zone (also called 'facing'-retail/merchandising lingo for pulling everything forward & making it look pretty like a 1940's merchantile
)...I can't stop/keep pausing from looking at some of the products and thinking "Wow, that would look cool in the dust" or "wow, I can spraypaint that and turn it into.."
Made a significant purchase today for camp: a UTS 3500 watt generator (brand spanking new!) Will have enough power to run both BUNN coffeemakers, stereo, shade structure canopy lights, a double-barreled 4ft. long flourescent shop hood w/blacklight bulbs (get your 'NEON' on baby
) etc. Love it---next step, c r e a t e gifts time...(too much fun) night ya'll!!!

It's going to be alright.
