fact of the matter is , there are too many idiots here.
There are a ton of GREAT PEOPLE here but they are few and far between.
I've argued with people that said there were WMD's in Iraq, George Bush and his regime were the way of the world, and I "dont know what I am talking about" when it came to IPV6 and other technical matters.
Most of all, I just am tired of arguing with racist calling me a racist.
People like this are not only dangerous but are STUPID.
This has been a proven fact as I have proven over and over again for many years here on eplaya to be right with posted facts as those that try as best they can cant PROVE ME WRONG have not been able to.
You guys win.
This is a board for IDIOTS and I dont belong here nor at BM anymore!
Cheers and have a great life.

Stop right there. This is the first thing you've said that I am agreeing with. This is NOT a cut and paste?DVD Burner wrote:fact of the matter is , there are too many idiots here.

Some of the things you have to share make sense, and other stuff is just endless strings of things that are much too long to read.
This board IS for idiots, and that is why you must not go. YOU DVD Burner are the very fiber that makes this forum great. If you leave here, there will be a gap where you are missing. Life as we know it will never be the same. Maybe even 2010 will be your big year to attend the REAL event in the desert.

...and so it starts, a Footlocker is being looted.
Nothing says you're upset with a verdict like stealing some shoes.
I hope my other Bay Area peeps are safe.

KRON4 is showing that the real protesters are staying peacefully in one area. The looters somehow got around the police (or came in late) and were moving through a different area a block or so away.
At least it's very plain they're not the people who are really upset by the verdict. Usually it's not so clear.

I saw video of police escorting youngish white kids with balaclavas away from the disturbance area.
Well, at least some of them had balaclavas.

I've seen images people of multiple races in the looting area. Just because you're black doesn't mean you aren't using this as an excuse to loot.
Normally the "anarchists" are mixed in more with the real protesters, so it's not quite as obvious they're just using "insert protest here" to break things and cause problems. It usually gets blamed on the protests in general.
This is probably one of the first times I've seen the media separate the two, which is a great improvement in local broadcasting.
I'm out of this thread as I'm going out of town tomorrow early AM & won't have internets until the middle of next week.

I absolutely agree. Many years ago I lived in Western Europe. There were what amounted to traveling bands of recreational "protesters" who would go from city to city when some dignitary or another would visit and proceed to tear up the downtown areas. Basically they would walk through the central business districts smashing windows, burning cars, etc. It was always the same people over and over again. They would be arrested, fingerprinted, and hauled down to the train station and put on their way. It was during the Cold War so Western European governments were loathe to be too hard on them lest it appear that they were "oppressing dissent". It has only been recently that the European countries have begun cracking down on them by intercepting them on the trains, etc.which is a great improvement in local broadcasting.
One of the tactics they used to good effect was to wait until some dignitary or conference was held in a location that had some other strife brewing and where a small spark could set off a larger conflagration. Say a city or country was having labor troubles, they would come in and raise holy hell and that would incite the locals who were already worked up anyway to join in.
I applaud the citizens of Oakland for keeping their heads. You deserve a great measure of respect for not allowing others to play on your emotions and cause you to destroy your own community. Well played.

Nothing new about that.
Often police and government agents.
Many agents provocateurs.
Sometimes from other countries.
A friend photographed all the riots and shootings in ohio before the kent state murders. (no, they weren't the first shootings)
Many, many people showed up over and over where they shouldn't be.
Wheels in wheels.
