Two weeks ago, I heard via FB from a buddy I worked with late last year that he was heading to the Burn this year and wanted to join our camp. I was delighted and immediately called him up to chat with him about it. He had his ticket and was so very excited... he'd been reading up on all of it and already had his plans for meeting us in Reno.

The very next day, in my FB News Feed, I see a photo of him come up and the caption read: Tim, you will always be a part of our family. That just seemed weird, so I clicked onto his profile and sure enough, every post was a R.I.P. for this clever, brilliant young man (25), found dead at his stepfather's home that morning. Not a suicide, but... ya, you know.

I was completely blown away... having just spoken to him the day before. I will always remember how excited he was and so full of energy. It's still hard for me to believe he is gone. So very sad... FUCK.

This. Yes. It is such a fucking shock to folks to find out how sadly and irrevocably their lives can change in just a few seconds. A moment of inattention, a seemingly trivial choice, a blind eye turned to a looming problem... then BOOM the life you thought you had is gone.

I try (not always good at this, but I TRY) to love my peeps every day as if I might never see them again; to use my skills and abilities as if I might lose them at any moment; and to live mindfully, not daunted by the dangers but aware that each choice I make may alter my life for good or bad, and that my time here with you all is not unlimited.

Just got home to find our canary expired in his cage. Yeah... just a bird, but wonderful company in his own way. Very fucking sad. What makes me step back and take a think is the fact that I have so much more emotion for a little yellow bird than I did for the 99 year old aunt who passed away a couple of weeks ago, even though she had been in my life... well, my whole life.

Thanks Ff i dont feel ashamed with this one, fucked off is more like it, i've been telling them for the 2 years i have been there things they need to do to improve the business. you know little things like a sign to show i am there (still get customers asking how long ive been there) and getting the 4 other brnches to sell glass as well, i mean buliders need windows fixing too right?
Thanks to the kindness of people here on eplaya, nearly everything i need to get to BRC and enjoy myself is already in place which a few days ago felt like fucking cheating, now i know its me plannning for the worst. I kind of knew that something would happen that would make it impossible to go when BM got near now, well it would take a fucking war between GB and USA to stop me.

Having said that if anyone wants to offer me a job or visa to live over there i would be happy to go FUCK YOU to my current employers and skip town.
