Re: Time for a Happy Thread
I had a dream last night that it was July 2012 and I went to check bm tickets on some ticket reseller on line. In my dream ticket prices were falling at a ridiculous rate. You could watch the prices falling...they were down to $250 and then kept dropping. I woke up extremely happy!!
I know that we have a dream thread somewhere but couldn't find it so since this dream made me so happy I posted here...

Might be. But, hey, we don't need Spring to have fun, right?!

Hooray! I met a Spokane burner! His name is Alex. He's 22 and a fire spinner and much more! He's a member of Visual Vortex Spin Collective! He's a wonderful young man! He'e going to teach me how to spin! I can't believe there's another burner in Spokane!!
We met at the Rocket Bakery in Spokane. Had coffee, pumpkin-ginger bread, and talked for a couple hours. Yes...a very nice young man. He's the same age as my youngest son!

Awww...you're welcome SquirrelHead.
It really was a happy dream! It kind of gave my positivity a boost concerning the lack of tix right now. Because somedays I'm feeling kind of resigned...but not for long, not by a long shot.

Spent the entire afternoon drinking tequila with my neighbor, yay! Was the good stuff his Mexican friend sent up to him. Phone got shut off so went down to his trailer to call and pay the phone company. Glad I walked there!

Just a quick follow up since today is Feb.23rd.Shambala wrote:Today, I was able to convince my doctor to perform a colonoscopy on me without anesthesia. The thought of an IV was keeping me from having this procedure. It's Feb. 23rd, stay tuned!
I showed up this morning for my procedure, knowing I wouldn't have to have an IV. I was going to ask for a pill, or something to put me in lala land. After a bit of discussion, I was told that even if I don't have anesthesia, they like to have an IV in just in case. Well, if you have to do that, just give me the IV quickly and I'll take the anesthesia. I never would have gone for this procedure if I was anticipating an IV, but since it was thought to be not required, I went.
Now for the happiest part. The IV was absolutely painless. I felt the tape holding it, but not the needle. This fear I have been carrying with me forever is now cracked. I no longer have a deathly fear of IV's.
Also, the doctor found 4 little thingies that were removed.
I guess today was my best day ever---HONEST.

Sham, there is a blood bank somewhere around there. I guarandarntee you they need more donations.
I have a little trick that cheers me up in 20 minutes or your money back: I put on one of my blood donor T-shirts and go to the grocery store. Sure as shootin, somebody will burst out "Ten gallons! How cool! What's it like?"
Oh, and... CONGRATS!

Just kidding - colonoscopy pics are boring. Gratz on getting over the phobia.
The worst part is actually drinking all that crap that flushes you out.

Took me about five seconds to find the same picture. Google Images, type in "four gerbils", ding! -- the first of maybe 50 thumbnails on the screen. Modern technology!knowmad wrote:wonders how/where Ygmir finds a picture of four Gerbils....
