thank you MoJo. just fuck because it hurts. I am in Marina,cali.with my dtr since 9pm last night.we got a call at 3:38am this morning that her father had passed away peacefully an hr before. Im just so fucking glad I got here in time!

This morning I heard from Loretta. Elvita rallied again today and was able to talk with family. She told me her SIL Diane started crying and said. "oooh, Mary Ann said she was praying for a miracle and we have a miracle!" (I got a chuckle out of that) We both have hope that a turn around may happen but we're not holding our collective breath. I went to see Elvita tonight and she had had 1 gram of morphine so she was sleeping. She looked good. She had good color and her vitals were normal. She had a fever of 100.3 this morning. And later on this evening the nurses note said her lung capacity has diminish. She has fluid building up in her lungs.

I held her soft, warm hand and and she gave mine a little squeeze when I told her it was me. And slowly she opend her eyes and I said, "Hey now! You gonna sleep the day away?" And I got a small, oh so slight smile. I felt tears starting to fall and I quickly had to force myself to not cry. We kept eye contact for a few minutes while I chatted with her. I told her to just listen to me ramble for a bit. I told her that I was going to the house to finish cleaning the carpets before she got home. AND move the lawn front and back! She looked at me with her light green eyes and looked like she was fading back to sleep. "Close your eyes Elvita and rest. I'll see you tomorrow." I kissed he on the forehead and told her I loved her. I wish I could keep my tears from falling, even as I write this.

Don't apologize for venting. Some stuff fucking sucks, that's why this thread exists. Elvita sounds like a hell of a woman and your mourning the fact that you're losing her. I think that we can all understand how that feels. Many of us have witnessed loved ones slipping away. And it hurts... So fucking much.

So, vent. As much as you need to. But don't forget to read the happy threads too. Sometimes the only thing that has saved me from completely losing my shit in the face of Camp Reality's harshness is a bit of snark from the folks here. You created the "Happy thread"... don't forget to read it.

She got a shot in the butt, an IV and a script.. Four hours later shes good to go..
It was a fucking spider bite..

Giving her meds twice a day for the next week, brings a whole new meaning to putting a noddle up a wild cat ass..
