She's better now. The Feb to 2 days ago was the worst. Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer.

And there's the whole path of giving all sorts of "helpful" advice that presupposes that the ill person isn't under any sort of medical care at all. Which is really an attempt by the fucking giver to dodge the pain and uncertainty that both fucking feel, but which is so much less for the giver than the receiver.

Well....fucking amazing things can happen.

My Aunt...who I am extremely close to and is the one that helped me get to Burning Man for the first time back in the day couldn't sleep the other night. She had fluid buildup around her heart and in her lungs (8 liters+ from what I was told). She drove herself to the hospital...once inside the ER she suffered a minor heart attack. The hospital arranged to fly her to the large hospital in Kansas City...where she apparently suffered a major heart attack while in flight...

Thanks to some kick ass paramedics they fought and brought her back. Once they landed she was taken into surgery...stents put in, other work was done....and now to my total shock and utter amazement she is being discharged today...she lives in an assisted care facility that offers some independence....but care if she needs it so she has a great place to go to and it might explain the ultra quick discharge.....

To go from being medically flatlined to being able to go home in a little over 72 hours...just totally fucking amazes me. But if it wasn't for the unsung heroes on board that helo....and more importantly knowing the warning signs of a heart attack I would be typing out a much different story. An absolutely amazing individual in her own right met some even more amazing medical people who made the difference when it counted.

I hope by sharing this maybe someone will look up the warning signs of a heart attack...and it might just save someone someday. And I post to also offer a tribute to the paramedics that don't always get the recognition they deserve.

Well here's a real fuck off....Yesterday late afternoon Sir Matty Pockets was on his way home from work, a lady ran a stop sign and tried to move in on his lane, road in bike lane aggresively trying to get past him, then runs him into the left turn lane, then he tunrs onto his road, and she flips a bitch and goes after him in her SUV, he see's her pulls over real fast because he thinks she's following him to his house, she RAMS him in the back of his little car with her SUV!!!

He jumps out of the car and points at her and tells her he's calling 911, he calls, gets off phone and shes says my husbands a cop your gonna be sorry!

The cops get there, and sure enough her husband is a cop and is there....Nothing is done, they say no witnesses.no report is written nothing! Just exchange of insurance cards.
Major fucking bullshit!!!!!! This lady had major road rage for whatever reason put her pissed off behind the wheel with her 2 kids in the car! He calls it in as a road rage vehicular hit.
The cop husband tells Matty arnt you feeling guilty now...?

That's one area where a fancy cell phone could have come in handy. Snap a few pics or roll the video camera, and then if you get a moment and have a signal + the presence of mind, upload it. That way there's evidence, even if the lady's husband shows up and they try and grab the phone. Sucky as that was, glad to hear he wasn't hurt in the incident.
