I love cape cods

I love a lot of mixed drinks

I guess my governor would call me a girly man

any votes on what the classic mixed drink is? Martinis don't count.

is it of the manhattan/old fashioned variety?
of the tom collins/margarita variety?
or of the G&T/V&T variety?

does anyone drink screwdrivers anymore?

And you'd take that from a collectable action figure. Dang, I need a govenator to give to my mom to go with the Jesse Ventura doll.

Oh well, it's been a year now. And we're all still alive. Except those whose programs got axed.

My condolances about your gram, stuart. She sounds an awful lot like mine...crawled to the phone a day before her (Xmas day) birthday as she was having her first ever asthma attack (serious smoker), even made the paper for her herioc efforts to save herself. As soon as she got out of the oxygen tent and back home she was right back on the ciggies. I miss her, she was pretty neat. People of that age have seen soooo much- it's hard to imagine we'll be the same.

I need a drink too. Rough day with the banks and mortgage people, wah. Final meeting with the auditor tomorrow, hopefully it will go well. Been doing bookwork all day, how exciting. Hey, I think I have a real live beer in the fridge!

Cranberry and vodka. Although the first I had (in Massachusits) had gin, I think.

Not me! I'm one of those Official Berkeley Free Speechtm dissadents. If you don't hear from me in the first week after a round up, be afraid. Be very afraid for your finny friend.
(Ya'll remember Marie Antoinette was Austrian too. It seems to me there's a bad historical pattern in letting austrian immigres have too much power.)

I liked Bitter Lemon right out of the bottle as a soft drink. Have they stopped making it? I noticed I couldn't find it at the store last time I looked.

As for drinks, I think there is something to be said for the Old Fashion and even Tom Collins type.

Soda King still seems to carry it. I guess I will head down to BevMo (Beverages and More) and see if they have it.

Since I am in a toasting kind of mood, I propose a toast to Tisha because this thread now has over 100 more posts than the all-politics one. Which just goes to show you that booze will triumph over evil every time. This must be some kind of world record.

Cheers! Here's to many more wasted nights on the e-playa!

Well, I think there was a concerted effort to tear down all the campaign posters and crap people had tried to put up in here. That probably helped.

Yeah, here's to Tisha ... home with a dead mouse. Sounds so sad.

I happen to be in Massachusetts as we speak, just had a lovely dinner with Emily Sparkle and bucky!

My classic is bourbon & 7, but maybe that's just how I grew up. :-)

One final piece of advice, don't ever drink 20 oz of chocolate russian. (what can I say, we ran out of whole milk!) Twelve years later I STILL remember ever component of my digestive system slamming into hard reverse.

Bailey's and coffee sounds nice. Thank you

Not only does she have a dead mouse but also a monitor that is only working when the breathing of a mule deer in New Mexico and the tide fall within synchronization.

Here ya go. Just made a fresh pot. The place isn't the same since DPW took away Center Camp. Lets just hope the mirrors on the outside of the walls keep them from noticing The Mirage.
