Fucking yes, I passed my drivers licence physical. I have to get tested yearly because of my hypertension. I qualified for my disabled parking placard and got my blue hanger yesterday. Last week I saw my shrink and got my med changed from Prozac 40 mg. to Zoloft 100 mg. I'm sleeping better with fewer strange dreams. My socialworker for Inhome Adult Social Services visited my home this week, and she said I probably qualify for a home aid but not to hire a caregiver till I get her letter. She said I should declutter my house to make it easier to keep clean, I'm a packrat and she was right. I've got 60 years of crap littering my house gathering dust.

I go in Monday to have my Vitamin deficiency tested again, my new doc wants me to start taking a small daily dose instead of a weekly mega dose of D3. She wants me to get out of the house and restart relating to folks. I'm looking for one of those 4 stroke golf carts to use as a playa vehicle. I am still waiting for my low income ticket confirmation to proceed with that purchase. I have a trailor but need to get the lights fixed, wiring...When I know I have a ticket waiting for me at willcall ,I can request a disabled sticker from DMV department.

It fucking sucks to start getting old and having to change your habits and way of thinking. My days of independace are dwindling. I'm morning the loss of strength and mobility. I'm coping though and have to start using the services available like my buss pass and gleaners distribution. See you on the Playa.

Sounds like things are starting out on the right foot Oldguy! I could use a fuckin golf cart for the playa myself. My joints aren't allowing for me to ride a bike these days. find some burner cactivities in your area. There are only 3 burners here. They're young folk and fire spinners!

Fucking hating that the economy and The CO's trade are working against us and he is in L.A. for the next God-knows-how-long.Yes, I fucking knew what he did for a living when I married him. Yes, I fucking knew it was going to be difficult when his work required him to be away from home. And yes, I am fucking delighted that he is working and enjoying what he's doing.

I guess I expected that it would get easier when he had to leave as the years passed. Not harder. I pride myself on being strong and independent, but right now I feel a bit lost and out of sorts. And I fucking despise feeling that way.

I will be fine in a few days but, right now, the house is too fucking quiet and the bed is too fucking empty.

My boss is preparing a FAQ to go on our internal helpdesk website. Which is hilarious in and of itself, but today she asked me and a co-worker to read through it.

first fucking question:

What is the IT Helpdesk's hours of operation?
Her answer: 8 - 5
My answer: The IT Helpdesk is manned from 7 - 5:30 Monday - Friday. On billing nights there is a tech on duty from 6pm through 4am. All other times the 5050 number rolls to a tech on call for 24/7 coverage.

Fuck. She doesn't even fucking know when we work.

deep breath. yes the stupid do have superiority over me in the workplace, about workplace issues. Unless it affects the safety of me or our customers, it is not incumbent on me to tell them they are stupid, or that they make stupid decisions. and Fuck me if I can't follow that one simple rule. Today they had me get rid of my work supplies, completely clean out the cabinet my department has been using for five years and let the assembler put his tools in there... not knowing where the door to the 4th dimension in the store is, that means, throw them out: paint, glue, tape, cleaning cloths, dustpan, nuts and bolts, batteries, signage. We are not supposed to be storing these items anywhere, yet they are required to do my job. Tomorrow when I need some zip ties, or self tapping screws, I will have to charge the store for them. If this is the cost they accept for not having any materials on a given shelf in the back of the receiving area, then so be it. I have learned the value of "whatever" and I feel I have fucking sold out. It is part also of learning to say "yes" at work. They like to hear it. I can think what I want, feel what comes instinctively, but SAY, "yes."

And it all becomes fucking clear. Just got an email that as part of the new review process of supervisors and managers, us minions get to rate their performance as to knowledge of job, responsiveness to stated needs, communication, etc.

So now I at least fucking know why. And if they think I'm the only one that fucking thinks they suck at all that, boy are they in for a surprise.

But as I said, now I at least I fucking know why. Still would be in serious fucking financial trouble if I'm fired, but at least i'm not fucking clueless anymore.
