why am i getting all too familiar recollections of that slimy arkanian prince fondly referred to as "slick willie?"geekster wrote:You KNOW you want it.
It might be ---> this way.
Or maybe it's <--- that way.
It was the other way.
You passed it.
like i said, i need a sense of humor today, 'cause the one i had isn't functional at this moment.

Holy ass-slapping fuck, did I have a time in Seattle! Anyone who doesn't go hang with these people ASAP is out of his or her mind.
Funny, I thought the people who work at the LL liked the Monday night crowd; it seemed that last call came a little early. Maybe it had something to do with hanging a Booze Over Evil T-shirt on the "art," or maybe it was the screaming. Who knows. At least there's NEVER A LAST CALL in Tisha's Place!
There is much to report, but after 11 hours of traveling, that started on a Seattle bus, then in the front seat of Sensei's pickup with Tisha (my lord, what a wonderful person), then flying to Newark, N.J., then three hours in the car to complete a 5,000-mile round trip, you mothafuckas, that I need to regroup in a big way before posting the details. But I will. I promise. Well, at least some of them.

Yes, although I prefer Pratchett's discworld work. I love the one (Sorcery?) where the apocolypse is on the way and the four horsemen stop at a pub and three of the horses get stolen. Death rides off (no one would dare steal Binky) and Famine, War and Pestulance are left getting drunker and drunker, singing songs and going "I wish Death was here to pick up the bass line." I just think of that sometimes to give myself a warm feeling.CoworkerLurker wrote: Has anyone else read "Good Omens"? Described by some as "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Apocalypse".
(Note: Pratchett's a much better writer than me, so these scenes rock.)

Welcome back, BHA! Glad you made it safely, and good to see you.
They DO love us. But the LL was at a tiny fraction of the normal monday load due to holidays and santacon recovery. Our bartenders are burners, so they were probably pretty worn out, too. (Plus we were a little obnoxious.)

Just coffee for me... too.... Body is in recovery mode right now... I had a hard time sleeping last night becuase I have cute, tiny little bruises all over my upper body. SurlyTart thought I was a heavy bag (I am) and proceeded to pummel me... at least she didn't mistake me for a speed bag and begin to slap me silly....
Back to work...

Uh, hi y'all.
It's lunchtime on the EC and already I can't see straight. I have the shakes, too.
Must be something in the apricot juice.
