Well, it's not bad where I am, so I'd be buying something at about what its actual cost to rebuild is — land cost doesn't add much. At least at the end of the day it's a roof and walls. Better than I can say for any thing that includes stocks or investors.

And FUCK how I have to put the same fucking password in 3 times in 3 different places to log on at work and, enter different passwords every fifteen fucking minutes for each of the five applications I am using. FUCK THAT, seriously, it's just BULLSHIT.

Well my heart and thoughts go out to you all dealing with serious fucks. My mum laid her bike down today to avoid a much more dangerous accident and cars in front of her. She went like a champ, remembered her safety training, kept her arms and chin tucked as she rolled. So no head injury and no broken limbs. BUT she has 4 broken ribs, 2 spinal fractures, and a collapsed lung. She is in the trauma unit and being watched closely but all the docs said she is doing very well and so far nothing to worry about, just monitor the lung mostly. We don't want it collapsing again or creating blood clots. She never lost consciousness and was even stubborn enough to think she was going to be back at work Monday and then to bitch about the damage to her Harley and whether she'd make the next rally. That at least reassured me her mind was fine. Please keep her in your thoughts. She is the rock I have built my life on and I would not be where I am if not for this amazing woman. My main upset is that I have just moved and am now an hours or more drive away and, being disabled with a child, cannot necessarily rush off to see her though every fiber of my being is screaming at me to do just that.

Thx guys ((hugs)) back at ya. I don't feel the universe is picking on me...yes a lot of bad has happened, but 80% of that is because I (and my family) LIVE life. We don't let fears guide us, we don't hold back physically, we live hard , work hard, and play hard. That's how I was raised. I am sorry that is has gotten me so seriously injured but I am not sorry for the journey I've taken to get here. I've had a lot of fun. My mum was having a blast right before she laid that bike down. She has been so happy since she got that Harley. I am worried and upset, but if this was more serious or if she had (goodness forfend) died, I would not be angry about the how of it. I would cry and miss her and be miserable, but I would know she went loving life and living it fully. Thank you for your thoughts and please keep her in them. You guys are great friends.

Fuck Jax, I hear ya. Many wishes to her for fast healing and that the bike isn't too badly damaged. Larry laid his Harley down in Yokohama when he was nailed by a taxi. Or tried to. He shoved himself over his windshield, rolled on the hood and came up inches from a light post. Broken nose, many sprains, a LOT of bruising, and one dead harley. It was still chugging away, but the tripletree was bent sideways. We couldn't afford to have it repaired in Japan, so had to scrap it.

Fuck, bike wrecks scare me so damn much.
