Story Time #2: Friday was a fun/special day at
COFFEE CAMP (
CC): Had been approached earlier in the week by our Theme Camp neighbors (
as we were placed right at their footprint
)
P3 Oasis (a.k.a- P-CUBED) to make a Wedding Cake for a couple/P-Cuber's who were getting married...because
CC member K.B. just happened to bring out a simple, yet glorious device...*
a convection oven* being powered by a 4KW generator. The wedding was beautiful, and the cake was being prepared during the closing ceremonies. We were not rushed, alas though, this is what happened in one magical playa hour:
K.B.- Bake (not 1), but
2 13x9 in. cakes (1 Red Velvet, 1 Cherry Chip) Composite went: Cake sheet, 1 jar frosting on top/middle, 2nd Cake sheet, 2 jars frosting to cover top and all sides, sprinkles...
Me-Kabe's needed a serving/presentation tray to rest cake on, none readily available. Composite went: Took a cardboard water box, cut to size. Over wrapped it with a clean white piece of waxed posterboard, duct tape to hide edges under board. Design with neon green Frog tape & a spray paint stencil design in corners.
Needless to say, (
and in perfect timing) a double-layered Wed' Cake on an artist original board...in an hour...in the middle of a desert...

enjoy...
