When my parents saw the first vid, I could see tears in their eyes and then my mom just said: "So it is place to make your dreams come true...all the things you were dreaming off as a kid and all the stupid things you were developing as a teen, you can make it there, right?!"
.........and she smiled......

Thanks for the drink Sput :D

OK, bumps in the road, but nothing sets me back. I had a great burn, made a great new friend, and now am looking forward to next weekend and our local decomp. I'm getting the Heart of Gold ready for a trip out to the woods, so hopefully the weather holds.

It's looking like I'll be in MASH next year. That will be fun. Plus, Stitch and I are working on plans for a day time bar that will be based on the late 1950s to early 1960s cold-war era home bar. Probably just a two seater with a nice visual and audio impact. It'll be somewhere in Terminal City, just not sure exactly where.
It's going to be alright.

TV was still B&W at that time, and so I suppose people watched movies in B&W. But you can just be the lady from down the street who is horribly concerned about getting her husband's collar clean, that is until she's had a few drinks in her, then who knows where she'll end up!

Have not heard of myschevia before. Where will it be?

Its outside dallas-fort worth area. Its still very small in comparison to say flipside (who turned 10 this year i think?). I hear its more between 150 to 350 people.

I still need to figure out directions. To be honest, thats what I worry about most as I am driving there.

Though I do need to decprate my car f i'm going. Any good idea? bras? flags? a skinned bush? :D

I think our decomp will be pretty small too, maybe a couple hundred. We'll see next weekend.

As to the car....how about empty wine bottles?

I'm not sure if I kno enough alchies to send me empty bottles (you know they don't send full ones).

if i can do it I have a project I'd like to work on for the next BM. Its an art project. I have a box of all the moop of everyday life I find on the ground as I go about my life. I only keep what can be recycles (so far everything). and I make something out of it for the burn.

Is that too dorky?

I just thought it would be interesting to see in one year what one could collect off the ground, without looking for it, that could be recycled. I mean after all at BM we are taught not to moop but what happens when we go home? it won't just be a mound either. Nothing as cheesy as a tree. Depending on how much I get, depends on what I can make of it. A person, a city, a world.

Anyways, I'm a dork.
