Life is NOT a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive, well preserved body. We should skid in sideways, cigar in one hand, scotch in the other, body trashed, screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"
I want a New Orleans funeral. Do it up like a Crash Worship, I want the people attending to do a circle dance around my pyre, drums thundering away, motivators circulating with spacebags of wine, wine, wine, chants to Anubis, Epona, Shiva, Agni and Kokopelli, the whole shebang...and when I'm good and burnt down, mix the ashes up with those of my horse and scatter us out to sea! :)

couldn't let this thread disappear! Not with Tish's apocalyptic message of the planets being aligned for evil or whatever it was...

so, here.

I need a hug or twelve. and I know a few people who i can pass along any extras to... so, give generously...

I don't believe in "planets aligning for evil." I usually don't start getting nervous until I see Ra's al-Ghul rise...

Yow! I can't believe I'm only the second person to respond to Miss GuinivereElise's heartfelt request... I would have been first, but Lydia's fast, man.

Hugs to both of 'em. And tell Rian to get her skinny butt in here.

I got it goin' on. No, really.

thanks, ladies. my most heartfelt thanks.

you know, I was doing pretty okay there for a minute or two, then the fucking long-assed busride home, and then time by myself to think too much, and, well, I'm back on that slippery slope down....

your hugs mean a lot. really.

thank you.

Aw, shit. I know that one, too. (In my case, the bitch of it is a lot of it is stuff I need to be thinking about - but I haven't found the off switch for when I reach the point where I've stopped doing anything productive and am just dwelling....

Be gentle with yourself, love.

Thanks, Purple. I am usually entirely too hard on myself, frankly. And I know it, but, perhaps I'm just a glutton for punishment. who knows why we do what we do to ourselves?

I drank more than enough Tab when I was growing up, dear. And I'll save the Maker's for my girlfriend, who actually likes it.

Maybe I need to take a page out of the ex's book and ask Newt to shut me off one night on-playa this year....

Hugs to all, regardless of age, sex, orientation, mass, charge, or isotopic spin. May all of the wounded receive compassion, and may we all feel moved to pass it along.

I need a hug.

A big hug.

3playa just posted e-mail from someone passing a somewhat cryptic message from http://pad39c.blogspot.com/ (and who, BTW has access to one of his many e-mail accounts) noting that Tancorix is in a medically induced coma from his um, 'chemo' treatments related to his, uh, 'cancer.'

(see below)
Update: Shawn / Kinetic / Tancorix is still in a coma at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
I agreed to run this blog in his absence but with only 2 outsiders looking at it I don't see any need for updates. If he passes I'll post something on the 3 Playa in his thread, on here, and on the e-playa. Otherwise, a kind thought or prayer would be appreciated.
I'd hold the flowers AND the Mayo for the time being though. One of our more curious denizens over there noted the following:
Earlier today Pad39C said “Jamie” is in a “medically induced coma” near death and that “all his family have gathered around”
<snippage>
FWIW Mayo is outpatient only. They admit patients to either Rockchester or St. Mary’s. No Jamie McKinseys there.
That, and I'm predicting a 'miraculous' recovery after a valient effort.

"Oh the hu-man-i-ty..."
