considering that I was in conservative small-town minnesota, it went over like a turd in a punch bowl...

but seriously... you should check it out...
Good book. It does speak the truth.

I had a college roommate who read it at my prompting. He called it bullshit, not on its own merits, but because it might stop people from getting the job done. Yup- anything that might get in the way of winning the war is to be reviled.

Like, you know, truth...

I think I'll find myself some whiskey. I'm in a foul mood tonight.

Hey, I take exception to that: old dykes need lovin' too! That's what I've heard, anyway.

Jeez, now I'm sorry I even said anything. How 'bout an Olympia?

Good Vibes had a Mother's Day sale one year - come to the store with your mom and you both got 10% off. Mom and I showed up after the sale was over...and they still gave us the discount. Yay.

(I still remember going to TiB on my one trip to Seattle, back in '98...walking into the store and laughing my ass off because the layout was identical to the SF Good Vibes - awkward pillars in the middle of the room and all. I still have my tank top from that visit...and I have yet to get a GV shirt. I think I need to fix that.)

LOL ... really nice people, we had fun, but not really our age demographic, that's all. We will try again on a Friday night.

I gotta ask - which one? It's been ages since the Savoy qualified as a country joint....

So I REALLY want to do this and would reall ylike to get some burner folks out for this ...

There is a ber in Cupertino ... actually, it is a South Bay mini-chain but the one in Cupertino is the one I have in mind ...
\
Tuesday night next week ... they have trivia at 8pm and after they have Karaoke ... at about 10:30

NOBODY hardly is there for karaoke ... I would like to get the local burner crowd out for Cheesy Karake Night ... worst karaoke wins! Nobody is there, nobody care's, it's just us! Thoughts?

I'd be all over this, except for one thing - I don't think I could force myself to sing badly if you put a gun to my head. ;-)

But you know I'll be there if I can make it, especially if there's trivia to sweeten the deal....
