Nine years is a great run, and an inspiration to the rest of us who are starting to get advanced in years. Your work with the Artery will no doubt leave a lasting positive impression for years to come. I know you have many other creative interests, and hope you are still making your art. Please continue to share in the fun here on eplaya when you can, we miss seeing you around.

Hi BVB and all, I do very definitely plan to continue to be here in the Bar as long as these old fingers permit. I am also still volunteering at the ARTery here in SF at BMHQ. Love going to the meeting and being virtually out there on the Playa. Plan to go to Decompression and the various events here in the Bay Area. Can't keep this old guy down!! Thanks for your very kind and thoughtful workds. I still have all the wonderful art that you sent to me BVB and it is on the walls of my office here at home ((((BVB))))

Hey everyone it's the captain, I'm here in BRC and late at night there's actually enough signal to hit eplaya from the real playa.
Weather and playa conditions are amazing so far! The playa is as smooth and hard packed as I've ever seen it, the night time temps aren't cold like the predictions and the dust storms have been pretty light.
So far, it's been well-earned payback for everyone who suffered through last year's shit conditions.
There's SO MUCH STUFF!! I remember many years ago, Saturday night looked like what Tuesday already looks like.
The mutant vehicles this year are awesome! Man people have really stepped up.
The man itself... ho hum. You can't even see the fucking thing from most of the playa. It kinda sucks because you used to be able to navigate around by getting your bearings from the man and the center camp flags. Both are pretty much invisible amid everything else.
The Koi Pond art installation is AMAZING!!! So cool!!!
I've tried to not be obnoxious, but I did just need to put a fresh set of batteries in my bullhorn... haha.. the Land Yacht this year has been turned into a Coast Guard cutter, and I'm Admiral Fukkit from the BRC Coast Guard. But so far, a lot of my time has been fixing things; other art cars, generators, a few bikes, etc.
Tomorrow is the big Meet & Brawl, er, uh, Greet. I expect about a half dozen that would like to try to kill me, I'm gonna be there and we'll see if there are any good stories to report.

I went by it tonight and the man was right side up and seemed to be "in business" but I didn't stop and go in. Hell, there are MVs more impressive than the man this year.
The "cartwheel" man sure looks tiny compared to Mans of past years. No one seems to give a shit about it, at least not the crowd I hang with (jaded old fucks).
