what i want to see is jobs ....... but right now we have a president who is perceived to be anti-business ... a new healthcare mandate that will almost certainly create unforeseen expenses .... banks in still in turmoil, with tight credit .... government spending and debt that are out of control .... and still a great deal of uncertainty. businesses are in protection mode, which is why we're seeing big profits. i don't think most people have any idea how expensive it is to hire people! blame it on bush all you want, but obama has been in office for 3 years and things aren't much better....

and yes, JK, i know you think i am totally wrong about all of this! don't bother with your tirade.

So what? You take a position based on the information you have. There's nothing wrong with changing or modifying that position should additional information ever present itself to warrant the change. But for goodness sake, take a stand.

In this clip, I see no thai chi, yoga, Starbucks or hand holding......I don't see tents, or JOTS.

And, this is the point, I was making earlier, with my "hippie" statement, about "some" in the OWS crowd, and appearances. Appearances, are powerful.

I think it was cool to see the meditators at Occupy Oakland. I believe and some studies show, that they do in fact lower the stress threshold in tense situations.

Well, a lot of times.
This, has led me to a more fluid sense of "reality", and especially as relates to humans and political/social issues.
So yeah, it's tough for me to dig a hole and fight from there.

well, here, for instance, I think I've taken a stand.
I've stated I support the concept of OWS.
Yes, I have pointed out, the things I don't like within.
and, I've also heralded the things I like.
I don't see that, as not taking a stand.
I see commentary, on the perceived positives and negatives, as a way to clarify my thoughts, and, if necessary, modify my position.
I don't blindly accept, trust, or follow, anyone, or any idea. And, I do find in all things, "grey/gray (?) areas".
How much more of a "stand" could one take, and be intellectually honest?
To me, marching in lock step, without question, and to claim total agreement, with an issue or movement as complex as this, is lazy. Anyone who thinks deeply about it, has to raise questions, and have some disagreement with positions or actions.
If not, I'd submit said follower is far to myopic, to have a substantive discussion.

Goldman Sachs and much of Wall St contributed more to Obama than McCain....so much for your idea that Bama isn't business friendly...and have you bothered to ask yourself why that happened???? duhhhhh.....oh yeah he's still for off shore oil exploration and extraction, new nuke plant construction and he would have ok'd Keystone-Excell if it weren't for the swarms of protestors. He's a republican in dem clothing and yes he's as much of the problem as Bush was.
