Okay, guys... I need to take a break for now. Tish, thanks for the job. I'll open the place up tomorrow.

If I don't see you later, it's because I'm having WAY too much fun!

Thanks for a great birthday... love you all...

$1000 to watch the Yankees flog the Red Sox or a few minutes of your time to flog the birthday girl. I know which is more painful. ;)

Stopping back in for a quick drink. I'm heading home for the day. If I had a computer at home, I'd visit later, but, alas, this girl only has access at work.

Thanks again, everyone. Have a good night!

I'll have one of those... but none for the little guy... he's still getting over Rian standing on him.

By the way, Jason... I'm serious. Unless you might have some major copyright violation problems, you should publish these receipes... They do, indeed, rawk.

No, Sensei is not hungover. But Sensei does need his beautysleep, and Sensei feels the best time for that is when the rest of you are hard at work. How the hell else do you guys think I stay up all night? Hmmm? I'm tellin' ya', I'm an Olympic class nap-taker.

I think I'll have a shot of rum to go along with that.

Cowboy Angel? Where are you?

Something you should get used to seeing from me. Except I am pissed Torre did not put in Rivera until it was almost to late. Rivera you could tell was still off his game.

But now back to your regular bar festivities.

I am a network architect. I design rather large networks here in silicon valley. My bacground is actually in electronics design engineering but a lot of that has gone offshore. I went from that to Unix sysadmin because I could and it paid better but went into network because it pays better still and it comes easy to me. I actually got my initial training in the military back when the Internet was a government project so when they let the general population onto the thing ... I was all ... HEY, I know how to do that!

Anyway, I am not so much a day-to-day maintenance guy so much as I am involved with things like growth management and new design. I do get roped into day to day issues when the usual suspects cant get it figured out. They like me so far because my stuff has been scalable. They are still using the network design I proposed back in 2000. Also, I am generally able to get more performance out of gear than other people because I understand the internal design better.
