Damn that's weird. After weeks and weeks of no domestic disasters, a FUCKING plane crash in SFO, then a FUCKING runaway train and crash in Quebec. Coincidence? Statistically?

It's like that huge asteroid that flew by the earth closer than we have ever FUCKING seen, THEN a massive bolide hits Russia. Oh, yeah, "coincidence", keep telling yourself that.

On Friday, Bay Area Fox affiliate KTVU told viewers the purported names of the pilots on Asiana Flight 214.

The problem was that the names — "Sum Ting Wong," "Wi Tu Lo," "Ho Lee Fuk" and "Bang Ding Ow" — were obviously fake. The news anchor read the names off the teleprompter and didn't bat an eye, adding that the information had been confirmed by the National Transportation Safety Board.

Air Show Near Disaster - Horror For Some
Pilot operating at low level had little control of his aircraft. Narrowly missed a crowd gathered for the airshow and slammed into four buildings. No one was killed, but horrifying for the occupants and it probably scared the shit out of them.

Strangely, they are progressing. Used to be it would never make it into the press, let alone the courts. Without it making it into the press, we can't know about the rates. But it is improving progressing for tourists.

Standard practice back in the 80's and 90's, at least with tourists, was to threaten to jail all victims & witnesses (typically their travel companions) - 'to ensure their availability for court' - but if you don't want to make a formal complaint, then we won't have to "keep" you.
In the North, groups of tourists were subject to armed R&R, with the appearance that frequently the guides, while not scared of, were tolerant of or receiving a kickback from the gangs.
