Damn fine work, RGThere's some verbiage there that needs some tweaking, but I've just had my eureka moment and want to share the result.

Quit trying to make me second-guess myself! I'm sticking with what I've got. Though the comedic prospects available with those two rhymes open a lot of doors. But the existing limerick does not lend itself to sequels..they would seem to much like an afterthought. It stays as was. I'd like to see what you could do with it, though.

I actually started a thread called "Lecherous Limericks" about a year ago, but no one posted to it but me, so I let it die.

How about a companion, rather than an extension? I'll see if anything springs forward. Any other rhymes you guys got?

So spiteful was old father gallas,
and filled to the brim with such malice
that when he forsook
the Lord's holy book,
he fashioned it into a phallus.
I's a quickie using the suggested rhymes, but not too bad considering its impromptu nature.

I wanted to find a way to clearly indicate that he was using the bible for Papier-Mache (for which it works quite well), but I would have had to break the whole thing back down to its foundation to make it work.

Oh, my.... once again I must be a party pooper and leave this glorious ambiance behind me in search of rest, but I'll be looking forward to a time in August when, for a moment or three, we've nothing to do but sit a little longer and laugh a little louder.
See you on the morrow, friends...
Goodnight!!

I thought maybe your silence indicated indifference, or disapproval.
Good night, Noir! I'll try to come up with one about you. Shouldn't be too difficult.

A fellow--whom we'll call LeChatNoir--
was possessed of such skill in the boudoir,
that once he's undressed
you'll be so impressed,
that you'll forget where, when, and who you are!
