Hey, Yggy, do you know that couple who found all those gold coins?

(although, if he actually did, he might not know he knows them, and if he did and knows, it would be darn mean of him to say a thing when he knows they want to keep it quite...)

Just finished putting up a monkey hut between the sheds..

Each building has a 8 foot extended roof. This gives me 16 x12 feet of covered space out side the shop... The other extended roof off the guest cottage houses the lawn equipment.. They all need a cleanup and tune up.. One end of the covered section need a little repair.. Then I can start the Burning Man projects.. Have to make a dump run so there will be room..

The latest from an old friend in Norway; a home-knitted Beer Mitt, for drinking beer in winter without freezing your hand. Or the beer freezing.

Thank you, Fishy.
I am wearing a new band shako, and thinking of how to ornament it. I got two, so I'll have one for a running mate. I am thinking of wearing one to the all store meeting at 5:00 AM tomorrow morning. Usually I bring something I can at least laugh about. They decided it would be fun to throw pies in the faces of all the managers to raise money for MDA. It's going to be a horrific and painful thing... I hope they at least have music. I don't see how they will be able to maintain a funny ha ha carnival aspect as it drags on, and it will. The poor HR manager who has made few friends in her tenure has a lot of pies slated for her, and it's going to be hard to watch. $5 bucks a pie, and they sold a lot. Not thrown mind you, but "applied" is the term the guy taking the money has decided. I declined to be humiliated in that spectacle and therefore, have shown my lack of team spirit. I suggested they get a big tarp, cut holes in it, and line everyone up. Draw a line 10 feet away, throw all the pies at once, and just get it over with in one big free for all. Instead they made a decorated plywood board with a face sized hole in it. The person who bought the pie will step up close, and put it right to the target's face for a couple seconds. haw haw haw. I'm wondering if everyone has the nerve for it that they thought they would, like close in killing. Will we cheer like at a Roman circus? Thumbs down and thumbs up. egad. The 4th quarter was bad all around/ We got some bad numbers on Friday, putting a huge target on us in our market for the next three months, so this isn't going to be a pep rally. The pie thing could have a nasty vibe to it.

The people you work for have always sounded a little clueless, but that's creeping too far into pathological emotional tone deaf territory.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. That reeks of frat humor; a management philosophy that never progressed beyond hazing. And soooo counterproductive.

Morning all :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: all around.

Wear that shako (((Elorrum))), be mean, and definitely stay off that "haze or be hazed" team. Offer to make a video of the event. Then send a copy to corporate headquarters, with a note to the effect that you have found the reason for your store's poor performance.   It can't be a coincidence.

Okay might need to back off the coffee for a bit.

*shuffles in, makes CCC and naproxen*
HI gang!
Well, I wonder how Elorrums meeting went.........and, as the others say, Elorrum, you are more human, and humane, than any of those ass hats you work for, and, if you choose to move on, know it'll be up. And to Echo others: We can, will, and do support you.

Dang tired today, but what a weekend!
Equinox, IMHO, was a resounding success!
we slogged through a deluge on Friday night for set up.
The weather broke, and though cloudy, barely any rain for the event!
I got a migraine early Sat. morning, which kept me down until about 10 am, so I had a shorter work day than expected:
10 am Sat. to 3 am Sun. ........Yesterday was a blur.

But, we chased and caught many heepees, kept folks safe and happy, and the LE on site said it was the least trouble they'd ever seen, for an event of that size, so yay!
