Good morning, Giggles!! If the aspirins don't kick in, then I'll just pound my forehead with the rubber mallet. Actually, I'm eating a bagel with pomegranate (sp?) jelly. It's helping.

Women who consumed about a drink a day (up to 15 grams of alcohol, or about half an ounce), the researchers found, had significantly better test results - so much so that in their mental performance, they scored about a year and a half younger than the nondrinkers and those who drank 15 to 30 grams a day.

The study appeared in the Jan. 20 issue of The New England Journal of Medicine.

A second paper, published in the Feb. 1 issue of The American Journal of Epidemiology, reported similar results in a group of 4,461 women.

BHA, as nice as this sounds, I think I heard that if you drink more than that a day it cancels out the benefits and may harm your health.

Yes, but what I wonder is whether you can NOT DRINK a couple of days of the week and then have extra on the days that you ARE drinking for the same net intake, get fucked up on the weekend, and still end up SMARTER than your nondrinking sisters. I'd guess that it's trends over time that you have to worry about one way or the other.

eh, who really cares. I'm still going to drink and most of the time it's going to be more than one glass. And if someone down the road wants to tell me that it'll make me smarter, well that's just an added bonus then. Meanwhile I'm going to continue doing things that are bad for me, like smoking, cause I like to.

I just bought a brand-spanking new tank of propane for my newly aquired flamethrower and as soon as it gets dark I am going to rattle some windows. I told some friends that I had "something to show them tonight." They have no freakin' idea.

(easing into the bar and filling up coffe mug)

Howdy folks...

Harley party, huh monky?

I used to have a jammin' old rigid frame chopper. 1972 with a big long front end. Oh, man lots of fun on that ol ride. She sat about 4" off the ground, seat hieight about 18" and just about perfect...

Back when my hair was down the middle of my back and I looked like Grizzley Adams.

Oh well... that was another place and another time.

The Harley fuckos never gave me the time of day since I rode a BMW. Of course, they'd be wrenching while I was on my way to Tierra del fucking Fuego.

But then who am I to talk? I used to be the owner of a freakin' Norton 400cc Electra. Piece of shit never ran worth a crap. Lucas electronics for the wiring.

Bad joke: You know why English beer's always warm?

I always stopped to help anybody on two wheels. But there was a lot of snottyness among some of the guys I rode with from time to time. But then again I was a GDI and didn't care about what they thought. Thinking about BMW's more and more lately. Nice bikes...

I’m good Blue... did you sleep well? Sam didn’t’ keep you out too late did he?

Heh, heh... He’s a baaaaad boy...

And when I bought the thing, I took it apart and discovered that the previous owner had replaced the head gasket with a sheet of copper that he had shaped with tin snips. Cutest little pistons you ever did see, though.

All right you fuckos, its beautiful outside and BHA is going to go do something. Yep.

No question about it.

Just watch me.

Any minute now something could happen.

Okay, then.

I did sleep well, and feel rested even though I only got five hours. But I had to get up early so that I can get up by 8 - 8:30 tomorrow morning. I'm going to a seminar with my uncle.

And surprisingly I was up really late with Ranger Genius and gizray. You only have to look back to page 1746 to see when I left.

When I bought my bike (in 89-90??) I paid $1200 for it and it was in wire milk-bottle baskets. Built her from the ground up.

The beau has 'em out working as slave labor in the back yard picking up leaves. Well, has all morning, though right now they are taking a pizza break.

I've been floating around the house, sweeping a bit, cleaning the toilet bowl, smoking a bowl, what not. Oh, and the mild bailey's bender is still going on.....I've developed a habit this week.

The new ones have rubber mounts between engine and frame. The one I had was a solid mount... all vibes straight to the frame and up to the rear fender. You ain't kiddin' about that either. Especially around 3000 RPM

But I must admit... as the years go by and I become more introspective, I tend to think quieter when it comes to bikes. Again... BMW

Ahhh, the good old days.

ok... really gone...

bye!!

I'm a bit floaty today and enjoying my kids cleaning up the backyard. Ah, a quiet house!

What flavor is your chappie, Miss Elise, and may I say your clavicle looks delicious today.
