Uh-hmmm...

(Pointing to the sign on the wall written in letters that are slightly scrawled out):

Though I no longer subscribe to the commercialism of holidays, I still feel it important to mark them for both those here now and for posterity’s sake. So with that in mind, I'd like to say:

WISHING ALL THE LOVELY, BEAUTIFUL EPLAYA LADIES A WONDERFUL, STUPENDOUS, FANTABULOUS VALENTINES DAY!!

(there's a big red heart with a black paw print in the middle at the bottom)

Watch that paw, I used magic ink... it'll reach out and give you a squeeze if you get close enough, but I think its got a mind of its own so use caution.

And I’m not a Minnesoten, fishy... though I’ve had many strange connections the past few years to people from that region.

Ok... gone again!!
*Fishy blows a kiss after the retreating cat. A small tear perhaps glistens at the corner of her eye. she mutters "he was a good friend to me last week when I needed one." She rustles around behind the bar and grabs a booklet. "I can buy my own damn porter, I'm a grown fish" She takes the book to the burn barrlel and throws it in. As the flames lick at the cover the title "Madame Mezzmer's Influence People Through Hip-No-Tism" can be read through the smoke.

WTF??!! could someone point me in the direction of the roots of this 'rumour'?? please.

*grumbling as she pours another shot of jameson's into her mug of coffee...or rather her coffee-flavored mug of jameson's*

too big to navigate...it's a fucken bar... you generally don't know what was discussed last fucken week in a bar... of COURSE we pretend to drink...who the hell can manage this level of consumption in real life? it's just that we all really wish we could and this is the only way to do it without like, DYING of alcohol poisoning or some shit...grrf!

I just have to think that Larry Harvey would have to be grinning like hell at the way this thread has gotten people to talk and interact.

We play and pretend on the playa, we play and pretend in here. Seems no different to me.

And I hereby encourage all newbies to come in here, and the "Hello, what's your name..." thread and say “Hi”. If you're shy, then say howdy to me first. I'm a shy person too, in reality. It's hard to just barge into a new place... fear of rejection and all that. I understand this much better than one might think from reading this thread alone. Read some of my posts from way back.

Hope it's just a rumor, and I'll just treat it as such until I find out otherwise.
Would an occasional stop by the "Hello introduce yourself" thread with an explination help? Could we adapt the "Index" thread as sort of an introduction to the highlights?

A fine choice. Last night I enjoyed a pint of Carlsberg, the first I had tasted of that label for quite a while.

AHHHH! I think someone is trying to steal my identity! This is not one of my feathers!

When I crept in this morning I was still a little edgy from the Friday Freakout. I don't know if the wings were disguise, armour or a quick getaway, but I felt compelled to wear them.

I tried my bestest on Saturday. Session went from 3 in the afternoon until 6:30 the next morning. A short nap in between and turbo boosters at night certainly helped the cause though.

Everybody please cross your fingers and send some good vibes my way. I've got an interview at that glass and bead place on Wednesday, and I really want this job. It could be perfect for me. Here's the site if you want to know what it's all about: www.jringglass.com Here's hoping.

eyes squinted shut and fingers crossed, chanting "please, please, please, etc."
