Me! At the Sands, stopped off at Elorrum's for a birthday celebration on the way in. Too tired, too excited, happy to have made it here safely. My mom died Monday evening; no more worries about her.

I've been broken on the side of the road to BM, in the middle of nowhere, a few times.

I just bought a nice diesel pickup to do a better job hauling all my stuff, but I kept my old truck, sitting there at home ready to do rescue duty in case of catastrophic failure... like it did the last time I tried replacing it and that happened!!!

Shit breaking is kinda part of the deal.

I can't believe it, but I think I'm all set to go, on the day before. I still have to go to work tomorrow, but it looks like I"ll have a short day. They know I'm itching to get the hell out!
God damn I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow, that means I won't be hitting the road with a full fresh night of sleep. I'll make it into Oregon somewhere for sure, but I'm going to have to stop and sleep on the way.
At least I got Friday off.

seems like the very last thing to acquire is my pass into the dust.

Damn was that drive longer than I remember. Gonna take a nap at the Walmart in Fernley do some shopping and head in. Save travels everyone!

If anyone goes 395, I didn't have any issues. Pulled over once almost out of bishop for a tail light out that went out as I was leaving the driveway. Since i already knew about it He just said get it fixed as soon as you can and let me go. Through Mono I didn't see one cop. But that was about 5 am

The trailer was painted a clean black.. The toys stacked on the trailer were shiny new clean.. 24 inch bike done up in red fringe.. yap that was a burner..

Just those of us who aren't going for one reason or another

If anyone travels I-580 through Reno, especially south of I-80, keep alert for the 55mph speed zone in the construction areas. North bound it starts around Neil Rd. South bound north of 80 the 55 zone starts around McCarren Blvd. Don't give the HP a reason to pull you over. Obey the speed laws. If you're traveling south on I-580/US395 and want to exit onto I-80 east or west make sure to stay in the far right lane. If you're in the number one lane or far left you won't be able to exit the freeway until at least Moana Ln about 2miles south of 80, due to construction. I'm thinking of swinging into the Morris Burner Motel late Monday morning after I get my haircut.
