You're right about that Chai. In fact the traditional notions of the nanny state and thought crime come from the left (the novel 1984 was about a left wing government.) The right - or Republicans - "traditionally" - take a libertarian view of these ideas. I would venture to guess, even though it was a private school, that the school administrator would place herself firmly on the left side of the political spectrum. But burner politics are convoluted to say the least.
