You have answered none of my questions, the first and foremost being, "what is a girlie girl?"
I believe it was said well in another topic: "a thread is not started by title alone."
I'm trying to make an effort as to what this thread is all about, becuase I thought it might hold interest to me, but now I see it's just another forum for your nonsensical, cryptic sentences.
I'm not uptight with everyone, just people that I find annoying that tax my time and patience.
And I don't do anything that isn't special: if it's not special in some way, then what's the point?

as was stated at the begining of this thread (seems only a few read )DIGIMAN wrote:yeah yeah yeah i've seen it. yeah that'll work. but it would be better to get the girlie girls to start out what they want of it.
i am a learner. i have no problems with that.
so to clarify. i really dont care if i'm offending anyone because that was not what i wanted to do. if you read any of my post i have no intention nor have i nor have i intentionally wanted to offend anyone.
now that that is out of the way and i am not at home at my computer so i cant quote as easily, i'll say this much.
the girlie girl thread was intended to make suttle conversation. it would be nice if you were to put what direction you like on it or ignore it all together. makes no difference to me. i'm not into offending anybody and i know i made that clear before especially to Ivy. if you dont want to read it then dont. there are other threads. nothing personal.

I read it...The OP doesn't say much of anything.as was stated at the begining of this thread (seems only a few read )
& then...
Well, as you are the one that put the thread up, having a direction for it to go is kinda your responsability. You seem to have started several threads with no direction at all. Try starting a thread with a post explaining what your intent with it is. You need not just a title/subject, but some idea of what discussion you want from people. If you just want conversation, may I recomend the Idle Chat Thread.the girlie girl thread was intended to make suttle conversation. it would be nice if you were to put what direction you like on it or ignore it all together

>>I think it means that he wants us to define it ourselves.
I've been redefining the term "girlie girl" for over 5 years now.
(http://eplaya.burningman.org/viewtopic. ... 35&start=9)
It's a fun name to play with.
I find the act of stereotyping people through terminology to be pretty
facinating stuff. Marketing people have made it an art, and pretty much
everyone seems to have a handful of phrases they use to label people
they know or have met along the way. These terms represent gross
generalizations though, and they don't tend to be very accurate on an
individual basis. I find that as i get older i use these terms (like
"hippy", "yuppy", "raver", etc.) less and less, as they never seem to
mean anything real.
Anyone else have similar experiences with this type of language? Do you
find you use stereotypes more or less then you use to?

I'd like to see cited examples with explanation, please.after looking back at all of your postings on this thread today i'd say your a girlie girl.
And, I'm sorry, agreeing with girlie just deosn't cut it. I respect her opinion, but to just say "i agree with her" is a cop out. Maybe you don't really know what a girlie girl is; that's okay, just say so and ask what other people think. It's easy. Coherent sentences, surprising at it may sound, are often good things.

Plus, i'm not really sure that i gave a real opinion on anything -- i just
made some comments on stereotyping. Digiman, if you wanna use labels
for people i agree with Ivy that you may wanna define what those labels
mean to you. Then it might be easier to get into a conversation with
others about what those labels mean to them, if that is indeed what you
are trying to do here.

>>personally speaking i know for a fact Ivy is making too way too big a deal about it
Doesn't appear that way from where i'm sitting. I think she is simply
trying to communicate with you. You, on the other hand, appear to have
more interest in trading one liners then actually talking with people about
your thread topic. It is unclear whether this is purposeful, or out of
ignorance.

I am neither "girlie girl" (if I even knew what that really was, since I still have no fucking clue what the hell you're talking about in this thread) nor do i belong to any scene, as I thought I mentioned earlier.
Guys "here with me?" I don't understand what this is supposed to mean. People resonding to my posts? People I'm involved with?i know there are alot of guys here with her.
Kiss my ass. If anyone's making money off me, it damn well better be me.i need to start charging for you guys responding to Ivy

how is girlie girl garbage ?III wrote:nah, it's your persistance in the "here's some garbage, what do you think?" and "that sounds good to me. how do *you* feel about that" discussion style that belies an inability at normal human interaction.
