They could either stay in a tent in NARCville or at the Holiday Inn that will be built next to the Walmart. Ain't progress grand?oneeyeddick wrote:Then where would all of the cops stay during Burning Man ?
Hey Larry, my cam works, fix yours!
Until the boom truck is repaired and the new budget cycle begins to buy a new camera, there's not much that can be done, so don't blame Taz.
I'm afraid it's not going to be fixed until later in spring/summer. Sorry for the frustration, but we do hope that a fuzzy glimpse of Gerlach is better than none at all!

If we could get Taz to identify the type of camera he needs, maybe someone in cyberland could send it to him. Maybe cameragirl could post pictures of Taz on a ladder replacing the camera.actiongrl wrote:Until the boom truck is repaired and the new budget cycle begins to buy a new camera, there's not much that can be done, so don't blame Taz.

Well at least it's nice to know someone is watching the forum and cares enough to keep us posted on what the scoop is.actiongrl wrote:Until the boom truck is repaired and the new budget cycle begins to buy a new camera, there's not much that can be done, so don't blame Taz.

You got great buns! If they have been bad I am sure a spanking can be arranged.actiongrl wrote:Kiddo is great! First steps, talking up a storm, and entirely too cute for words.
I still have my fingers in the Rabbit pie; I'm still editing every single one, so I'm there, even if my name's not the one in yer inbox. What, you miss my bad puns??

Fuzzy or not, it's a nice change of pace from the view out my window to the ever-climbing mounds of snow.
The webcam, I mean- Can't see AG's buns from this vantage point. I'm willing to imagine that the fuzzyness is heat haze and I'm astrally projecting myself there to bitch about something other than the cold.

There's nothing like watching the sun rise over the mountains when you are homesick for Black Rock City. It's better than nothing, but I hope the camera is fixed so it doesn't look like viewing through wax paper.
AG, can you find out what type of camera is needed? Maybe someone in BM cyberville has one or can get one and send it to Taz. We are a very resourceful bunch you know.

when I started the thread there was nothing being displayed. The page would update every 15 seconds but a white blank screen.robotland wrote:Fuzzy or not,
Shortly after that it was working again and we got snowed on up here and down there. (thats where I am and down in Gerlach, sounded kinda funny, up here and down there. wonder what ya thought). I could make out the white, even on the playa from that fuzzy view and I got a fuzzy feeling..
I had snagit running winter of '05 and got time delay of days with the xmas lights and snow on the ground with a perfect picture. I need to dig that computer out and upload the video I promise

Snow can still be seen on the streets of Gerlach at this time and the playa in the background looks all white. More perhaps tonight. Maybe we will have a giant lake in a week or two, waves slopping back and forth making the ground so smooooooth.
