'nother shameless plug:

gasperas on geary in sf.
they have a wheel there called "eddy's special".
sardines, (we add) pepperonis, mushrooms, pepperchinis, olive oil,
& garlic.
nice and flat and greasy. one of the better pies in the city.

Brie, champagne grapes and roasted red peppers. Oh, and when you whisk the water, honey and olive oil together for the dough, crush some saffron threads and let them steep in the hydration. And garnish the dough with blue cornmeal.

DO NOT, however, attempt gluten-free pizza dough! I tried that with PALIO back in 2003 at the behest of some campmates who had a wheat allergy. They asked for quinoa but I didn't have it and tried to make it out of rice flour, polenta and flaxseed meal. It crumbled all over the oven deck and became a terrible MOOP pile!

very thin crust. their specialty is white clam pizza, but i like the bacon.
