The engine rebuild will be wrapped up about August 23rd, so I CANNOT drive on any hills. Which route is flat? Thinking maybe driving I-5 thru LA then Las Vegas would be best.
Oh, and MY GF will be following me on her bike.

Do we really have to get out of our car?
Pooky and me have Burnrong Man on our Bucket List, and it's our Karma to be at this magical event. But can't we just drive by and see all the dirty hippies, then drive straight back to Vegas for a shower?
This is near Las Vegas, isn't it?

my fiance and i are coming to burning man (squeee!!) after 10 years of wanting to go and we just want to be sure that there are vegan food venders.. we want to be sure that not only we can have fun but that the food we eat is served by people who share our values..
has anyone eaten at any of the vegan venders?
when we went to bonnaroo we were very pleased with the selection of vegan food.

Hi, I'm Earth Mother, and I am going to be 8 months pregnant on the playa this year. I am also bringing my 4 year old twin boys so all my neighbors can share with me how adorable they are. I think folks will have fun watching them if I go out some nights. Since I am a single mom, I'm sure we will all fit inside my dome tent. Does anyone have space to bring in some water for us? My car won't make it there if I weigh it down with water.

Are plug-and-ply camps ruining the textile industry?
Re: Blood in the Water thread starters
Oh my God, You Guys . . . what about a camp called Plug & Ply that gifts tampons and 1-ply camping tissue?
I would do it just so I could have a huge banner made!

There was a Camp Oopsy in 2010 or 2011 that handed out tampons, but they were closed on Burn Weekend. I respect both that and their excellent mission, but I found it kinda depressing when I was looking the info up for people and had to say "Oh, if this had happened yesterday, you would have been in luck!"

Then Sunday of the Temple burn, my uterus decided that it had enough and bailed early on me.
Actually, now that I think about it, that goes a long way to understanding why I had such a negative (or ambivalent) reaction to the temple burn.

Man, prelubed! And here I was thinking that the "smoothed hole" (you know, so they don't abrade the skin! OW!) discreet "pocket" catheters I see on commercials while watching late night Mission Impossible episodes were the state-of-the-art.Savannah wrote:NOTHIN' ta SPREAD. RIIIIGHT OUTTA the BOX..
Can you just imagine sitting in cube-ville and some female spokesperson is walking down the aisle talking about pre-lubed catheters like they were the most interesting thing in the world?
