'Morning, M... Isn't the coffee great this morning? Just watch out for those oranges, tho... I'm still a little fuzzy... more than just the navel... >>gigggles<<
I was just looking at the mini-fridge in my office, figuring out (1) how much power does it take to run, and (2) how much cheese I can get into it. We tried cheese on another campout, but it got nasty with the infamous "cooler water" syndrome. But the idea sounds wonderful!

*M stretches and stands up, the NEB retracts itself to the floor. She swigs down the rest of her coffee*
MMM....indeed! The coffee is very good today!
Oh no.....no more of those oranges for me! Kind of a party crasher....have one and pass out for a while! AAIIEE!!
Fishy, I think we should definately try to get cheese out to the playa! What a blast it would be. What will go good with cheese and crackers....Wine perhaps? I bet either Blue or LeChat (or others)would know.
Well, I have to head out to work. YAY! It's friday! See you all later!

Hi all, just flew in from Vegas and Boy are my arms tired....
I sure could use a Playa Pale Ale right along now. I guess I'll settle for a Sierra Nevada...
passes out on floor from convention fatigue.

* comes in with a bewildered look, muttering to himself *
Where could I have put it how does someone lose a life-sized realistic looking plastic human skull,..
Hey,.. didn't think so,.. what the hell do I want,.. I'll have what he's having,.. ,.... ah,... a dark beer with a shot of Jack dumped in it.
* runs around behind the bar *
that's an odd one but ok if that's what you want.
* fixes drink and sets it on the bar and runs around to take seat in front of the beer*
Thanks.

That might be a good idea to swiotch your sleeping pattern unless you are going to works nights at the Museum. Reminds me of that movie, "Relic". Kinda gives me the heebie-jeebies.
As to my dome project...I have bought the 40 pieces of conduit I need to build it, that's all that I've done so far. I have it up at my sister's house, I just have second thoughts still with strut lengths.

Well, if I make one cut per stick of conduit with the lengths 5'4" and 4'8" will it be the right lengths to bolt right up after I drill holes 3/4" from each end? Or will they be the wrong lengths and will I get stuck recutting the ends of them all to get it to work.
Whoa, I just sneezed and got a head rush.....
*wobbles a bit, regains composure*

Sounds like it would be worth going back to the calculator and trying out some slightly different dimensions,.. It could work out that with each struts length shrinking an inch and a half every thing would work out and you'd just have a little smaller dome but I wouldn't risk it with out looking at the numbers.
How are you going to cut it?
How are you going to cut it?

I don't know but it's chilly
What are you using to squish the conduit I see your making a die do you have a press?
When I was in junior high, Buckie must have been making the rounds of colleges, any way one of the art classes project was to make a dome 6 ft high out of sheets of card board cut into triangles with the edges folded up and bolted together. It turned out really cool and a couple of kids could clime up the out side with out it buckling. Maybe it was double layered cardboard I can't remember ( it was a long time ago) But domes are cool. I can't get over the idea of panels instead of a frame and with all the other things going on in my head I haven't worked out a good way to make durable easy to manufacture and light panels,.... guess that’s why I'm not rich....

I think it was that's sites dome calculator I was talking about.
Decimals are a drag but anything less than a quarter inch .25 is to tight of a tolerance to worry about. the shape seems like it could warp enough to accommodate some inaccuracy so if you could get close that should be good enough,.. If normal ( but twisted ) people couldn't do it there wouldn't be as many domes as there are.
