NEW EPLAYA AND UPGRADES COMING

I can just easily use "site:eplaya.burningman.org search_term" in my search box rather than rely on the in-built search. Yes. Please fix the color scheme. The fact that my eyes have somewhat become used to it makes me think that my eyes have actually degraded in quality.

I would also like to have shortcut keys for the text styles, e.g. Ctrl-B for bold, Ctrl-i for italic, Ctrl-u for underline, though I haven't found a mod for that yetr. I wouldn't mind a strikeout variant (here), and it'd be nice to have a URL pasting dialog for the URL button like vBulletin has (here).

I actually wish we could just pool our money and buy vBulletin instead of phpBB. It's just much better overall, and $100 or whatever it costs is nothing.

vBulletin does look pretty cool, though the per-user (likely per-admin) license makes it a somewhat costly option (if only because this has no costs beyond hosting). Definitely something to consider as a possible option at some point.

I think there may still be plenty of life in the PHPBB tech for ePlaya. There are a wide variety of modules and options available, and while we don't necessarily want to bling the board out with a lot of extraneous stuff, I think it makes sense to look at things that improve the experience.
