And you know, sputnik... having met you now, I have to say that exclamation points fit you well. Just like the “pleasantly surprised”Gomez avatar, actually.

Between now and next year I really need to find a nice pinstripe suit.

And big cigars!

You most definitly need a pinstripe suit. What size jacket? I’ll keep my eyes out for one at the thrift stores. Oh.. oh... you could even line the pocket with a custom made and fitted sheet metal liner, so as to hold your pre-lit stogey!!

I'm a 42 regular. And yes, I had been thinking about what to do about the pocket. Not sure how long I could keep a lit cigar in there though. It would need some sort of insulation as well.

Good thoughts M. Welder's mat might do the trick. I wonder if that's the same stuff that I used when I did glassblowing. White woven material of some sort. I'll have to look it up.

Z..I'm making martinis. BTW, looks like I need to make up about 5.

I line my forge with stuff called Kaowool. It’s a ceramic fiber blanket that’s 1" thick. It glows orange on the inside of the forge (+/- 1800 degrees F)but not on the outside. A thin layer of that between the metal liner and the fabric would work just fine, I do believe. We must scheme on this as the year goes on...

Sputnik you make an excellent martini.

I think you should get you one of those 1920's art deco cigar trays and attach some wheels so you can take it around with you.

That would be pretty cool watchnc. But coming via plane means I have to be careful with how many bags I bring. That might be a bit much. And thanks RE: the drink.

It's either my playa hat (in the avatar) or something of which I am completely unaware...

On my feline side it does have a certain dashing, Indiana Jones look, doesn't it?

Unfortunatly, it's far less fedora in person and much more of a bent up straw cowboy hat sort of thing. But I like it... though it must be customized more for this coming year.
