I've been remembering about my college days, and where I tasted my first margarita; Hussong's bar in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. Did you know it was named for a German girl?

Hussong's attracts a large clientele, providing music, excellent piÃ±a colladas and the customary basket of peanuts. Itâ€™s also the place where the Margarita was inventedâ€”back in October, 1941 by bartender Don Carlos Orozco. He concocted the perfect mixture of equal parts tequila, Damiana (Cointreau is used now) and lime, served over ice in a salt-rimmed glass for Margarita Henkel, daughter of the German Ambassador to Mexico.

Wow, you guys are having lots of fun here today. I've been drinking beer with some film festival folks and now I've got to write stuff up.

Just had a chat with Woody Harrelson about his film The Messenger which I would highly recommend. We were talking about war time journalists and soldiers returning from Iraq. He gave me a great big hug when I said his film needs to get distributed so the discussion can start about getting the proper care for post traumatic stress.

Neil Young is up for Friday and several others too. Lucy Lui, Ron Mann and whoever else I can get the PR gang to set me an interview with.
