That just reminded me this weekend I helped set up and amazing site at the decom. I managed to help set up the Fuzzy Womb Room. A fur lined tent with ambient lighting inside. A very nice space to spend some quiet time with a friend.

Back in the day ... I would get together with some friends, head down to Denney's ... one day we dosed up as usual right after ordering breakfast. Normally service was speedy and we would just be finishing up as the colors started to go. This day they were slow ... REALLY slow. We were rather crispy by the time the food came. We spent an hour or so playing with our food and finally paid and left.

I went to a friend's house wearing these mirrored ski goggles. It was July and about 95 degrees. I knocked on the door and she opened it, took one look, said "I'll be right back" and slammed the door in my face. She came back in a couple of minutes and handed me a popcicle and closed and locked the door with me standing outside. It was a home made kool-aid popcicle made with no sugar. I think she had been saving it for just this moment.

So there I am standing there on the porch, wasted out of my gourd ... hotter than hell ... with the nastiest popcicle in the world ... but its hot ... and its a popcicle ... so I would put it in my mouth and then cringe and pull it out ... then a few minutes later I would forget and put it back in my mouth and then remember.

She was one of the very best friends I ever had. I wonder what ever happened to old Robin. *sigh*

Denny's is very condusive to the psychedilc experience. When I lived in the East Bay I used to begin my cerebral cortex journeys at the local Denny's then we would make our way over to the middle school near by where we perfected a method of scaling the roof with spider like abilities. From the roof the view was so spectacular but not looking up at the sky or at the city lights but the patterns on the basketball courts below where years of water run off left intricate designs almost reminiscent of NW Native American designs. Very soft and subtle but none the less amazing. Watching the waters of years past ebbing and flowing like a disipating fractal would leave my mind about the consistency of applesauce.

Pizza pies or fruit pies? The public must know and then please divulge the details of the rotation be it clockwise or counter clockwise.

Denny's is all about the rotating pie rack. Everything else is secondary.

Chocolate creame, please.

I noticed something like that on the playa when walking out to the temple burn. Someone gifted me a shroomie treat and I had made proper use. On my way out there I was looking at the playa and started to notice all the bike tracks in the playa dust. I got to thinking about how each bike track represented the paths of people's lives for a brief moment of time and how they had crossed the paths of other lives without even knowing it or knowing the other people and how nice it would be if they could somehow know the people whose lives touched in the dust.

Then I walked past someone writing furiously in the playa dust ... as a prank I told her to hurry because time was short.

Actully I am just practicing my touch-typing and thought I might entertain at the same time.

i actually thought about that out there this year.... i was riding out to the temple and watching the ground in front of my bike and noticing the patterns of tracks that i was rolling over, through...thought about just how closely & recently i shared that particlar place in space with those people...even looked up to see if i could spot anyone who seemed be futher down some of those tracks...i wasn't even *on* anything....

Don't you hate when that happens? It leaves the mind befuddled.
