I''ve been calling Elliots house, no answer.
I called the local hospital, they said he was transffered on the 16th to Santa Rosa.......I called all 3 hospitals there, and none have him recorded as a patient.
crap!! I think I may call the police in Clear Lake to see if they can check on him.
Any thoughts?
I'm messaged him on FB, as well.
Does anyone know his friends, or phone, in Davis, CA?

well, it was great to hear Elliot is ok........makes a person think, too.
Many of us live alone, and well, if we don't hear, or worse yet, get "half news" of "in the hospital", but don't know, it's very disconcerting. Nothing wrong with saying "did you hear x is in the hospital", I'm not saying that. But, if anyone is "the person" and can at all get a message to any of us, we can at least let others know you're alive, etc.

I can only speak for me, but most of you are my family in many respects, and well, just scary to think of bad stuff happening, and no one there with you, to help and such.
If needed, someone is close enough to get there, or at very least call.

It's a quirky world, and wacky things happen......it's important (IMHO) to maintain that gossamer thread, that links us here to eachother.

Nope. HIPPA regs permit hospitals to reveal presence, absence, or transfer of a specifically identified person until or unless instructed not to by that specific person.

It is actually much harder to connect up with next of kin in an emergency than it is to protect people's privacy. Please think about that, the next time you leave your home: is there anything on your person that would help a hospital emergency room find your people???

Edited to add: Or morgue. Shit happens. Please don't make us call all those places looking for you.

Well, it has taken me two days to read through all the threads I like, and get caught up on the goings on around here.
So glad to hear our Elliot is OK! Whew!!

I got home yesterday from the Great White North (during the short 'green' phase; no snow) after two glorious weeks with family. The first week was just my Mom and myself, precious time there! Then, all three of my awesome sisters! Spent a few days with our very own Delle and Kenny, and am happy to report that all is well, and we had a great time. Neata, who burned with us in '11, was there too, from BC. They all send their love and regards to all here who know them, and even to those who don't yet.

Now, preparing for the long drive to the Hof. Can't wait to see the 'gang' again!
Then, I really MUST get busy on the real burn prep... it's getting CLOSER!! I've already cut 500 copper pieces, about 10 grams each, and have a nice design for them. Now, to get the design on there! I do have a friend who might be able to help... there are advantages to my having worked at a machine shop for 22 years!

It's always so nice to be able to go away and do stuff and see people, and it's always so nice to get home after it all.

I have been gone on vacation to southern Utah and northern Arizona. Spent time at Zions, Bryce Canyon, and the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Had a great time.
Spent the night at the Grand Canyon to celebrate our 32nd anniversary.
Now its time to finish getting ready for Burning man.
There is going to be a burning man commpression get together this weekend in Fernley.
I hope Elliot gets well soon.
