Damn Marty!
We had a cat named Alley as well. Lost her in January 2012. She was our first cat, found as a stray, hence her name. We were living in Pennsylvania when we found her Memorial Day weekend 1999.

Day off today HAhahahahaha, I need to go in to my office and reboot my fucking computer. There will have been no AC there in that high-rise since 5 pm Thursday, fucking cheapskates... FUN FUN FUN they could not possibly pay me enough for this.

Love you guys though. 8) 8) 8) Thanks for letting me vent!

Sitting in an Italian restaurant in North Beach eating Fettuccini and drinking Mojitoes on the 4th, I glace over and my breathe is taken away. Sitting across the room from me, I spy this incredibly handsome and charismatic looking guy. My heart rate increased and I’m sure my cheeks were flush. I’ve lived in San Francisco for over 25 years and never felt this way about any man before. My hetro credentials have always been in order and notarized. This guy was simply the hottest man I have ever seen in my life. Without realizing it, I caught myself staring at him, and then noticed my gaze returned by him, with the same look of stunned awe and raw infatuation. Beyond the rugged good looks and intelligent demeanor, I saw that he shared many of my own qualities, from how he carried himself to what he was eating, to the clothes he wore. Coyly exchanging glances from the corner of our eyes, the meal progressed. I knew looking at that hunk that he would have to be a part of my life in the days and months ahead. What a extraordinary piece of manhood. As I rose from my chair at the table I realized how the facing mirrored wall makes the room look much larger than it really is.

Oh Elliot, talk about an interesting way of preping to attend Burning Man...
All the best to you, though I bet that guy you know has a better tan than the guy I saw.
I went and saw a therapist with the city's Mental Health, and when I started telling him what was bothering me, he asked, "Do you really want to talk about this?" He told me I was obsessive, and there hasn't been one day since then that I haven't thought about how wrong he was. I'm staking my future mental health on finding a good women to help stabilize my life, which shows what a lunatic I am. It's supportive to know others also struggle inside while showing another exterior. Anyway, rock on.

Heading out tonight to see Ronnie Spector perform. Now that Phil is out of the way, it's Lonesomebri time......

Oh yes, I have tons of experience with putting on a facade. Luckily, I don't always need that facade.
As for that guy's tan, I spent an hour today and an hour yesterday "working on" my base tan in the back yard. I doubt I can do that at the motel in Santa Rosa the next two weeks, but I will still have a month at home.

All right.... In a couple hours I drive "over the hill" to Santa Rosa for two weeks of mental magic. I expect to come home on the weekend, but might not.

Wonder how much trouble a guy can get into at a Motel 6 without being evicted? I see they do have a pool.

Thanks, Patsh!
An other ePlayan told me yesterday by PM that he went thru a two-year program to train his brain to behave itself properly. He said it started with a couple weeks of intense sessions, and then the sessions tapered off until he had his brain pathways retrained, and now he lives a normal healthy life.

I had never given a thought to "training" of the brain until they brought it up at the hospital. Something about neuro-pathways and such, and we are never too old to tinker with them.

I have always been skeptical about what I perhaps thought of as "new age hokus pokus", but now that three psychiatrists have assured me I'm trainable, I'm open to it.

I don't go into the new age thing either. Walked out on a therapist who told me I had a strong aura. A friend had just attempted suicide and I was not well, and all she wanted to talk about was my aura and colors.

But if you think of the brain as any other organ, then of course you can train it. Just as you train for a marathon or learn to ride a bike and develop muscle memory, or even as you develop a base tan, you can train your brain to move in new ways.

It's not crystals, or chakra points or reiki energy or whatever. It's chemicals and neurons and hard fucking work.

Just back from week and a half of vacation and catching up with the Bar.

Elliot, remember that you are loved! AND you're one of our heroes here.

Hugs and love to all those losing loved ones, whether feline or relationships.

Yggy - hope the Hof party was epic, sorry we missed out - got hung up elsewhere and couldn't get there.

Sorry if I have come off as kind of a jerk recently on various levels, I have a lot of things not going on in my life right now. I will be working on attitude adjusting tonight.

Breeeeeeeeeeeee!

Forget the fucking burn and come visit us in Quebec City for a nice humidity soaked visit. We can sit on the porch and drink cheap drinks and do some intensive work on our attitudes.

My son's no longer dating that bitch, so there's hope I'll get your name right with time.

Not the first time I've done that.

Good Morning BAR! Hiya delle! Hang in there Bri.
I got up earlier and forgot I had a later start today. I had my coffee and some oatmeal, and am debating whether a second cup would be prudent. Workdays are usually one cuppers.

Just a quick hello and back to the salt mine. I am slowly getting the "things to do" list marked off. Trouble is, I'll mark an item off, then add two more

Took a little time to catch up on eplaya reading last night and woke up with "I Don't Like Spider's and Snakes" stuck in my head..thanks Figjam!

I love all the building and wiring and designing and sewing and creating going on here...can't wait to see it all in the dust.

Morning all. Just learned that Hushville will be at the corner of 5 and E this year. Short move from 5 & D last year. So there I'll be, massage table at the ready, overlooking the Mobile Lending Library, where if you borrow a book you must promise not to return it. Gotta redo all my schwag as it did not turn out well, So a busy weekend ahead. So do come by 5 and E and say hello. I'll have my Aqua Cooling Misting going How good is that?! Have an ARTery meeting at BMHQ on Thursday evening finishing up our Playa prep to make the Art on the Playa really shine for all of you. One more meeting in August and it is Showtime.

Thanks to those who acknowledged the demise of our cat. He was a fine kitty who was affectionate and independent. We miss his greeting us when we came home in the evening. Would never come in until we were both home. He'd be a bit pissed when one of us was away. Let me know when I got home from the Hof the other day. and then quite suddenly, he started to fail and on the evening or 4th of July he lay on the floor at the foot of our bed apparently asleep and in the morning was no more. We buried him up on the hill behind our house. We still see him at the door or sleeping on my chair or purring on my chest. In many ways he is still very much with us. Funny, he was only a cat, but he was our cat.
