If you really want to go minimal, just flash mob someone else's bar. ED's, for example, or Hair of the Dog or any of the dozens that'll be posted on the theme camps list.

morning mojo, we have some thoughts kicking around right now about the bar on the playa. Clarkcon is going to pm tisha to get your blessing on this. once i get the finalization of what it would look like, i am going to make a drawing and then post it to all at the bar

The BAR table top, 6 bar stools around it.

Smack dab in the middle of 3:00 plaza, just out from EspressoCamp

Call it "art" an interactive project. see who brings what. If it's morning pop over to EspressoCamp for a buzz, afternoons we just hang around being "artistic". Evenings we have a "party disquised as art" or party-arty

The challenge will be stocking it. Tisha's regulars have diverse and particular tastes.

Sput suggested putting it under a corner of the megapixel project to use it as shade.

Great idea as it would promote both projects.

Let's see, Jacquart Mosaique, Haut Bailly, Haut Brion, HERMITAGE, here we go. Aw shit, looks like we only have the '95.

Image

Routes around back of bar in vain, mumbling chicken curses. Find's Martiansky's magic wand

There it is! Damn, this wand has been missing for ages!

thwacks the side of the bottle adding 18 years to it's age

How's that?!

Personnally, I could go for some cask-conditioned ale. And as long as I'm swinging this wand around, may as well ...

waves six times, conductor style. Full kegs, already tapped and ready to pour, appear

Image

SO much easier to pull off here than on the playa.

reflects their personalities :D diverse(perverse?)/peculiar

Bar table should be round. no sides to pick, no bar tender, or all are bartenders.

Reminds me of a bar I went to in Sasebo Japan...entrance was a hole in the wall about 28- 30" around at floor level. Everyone inside was "equal" having been lowered to the ground before crawling inside

Why that looks just like the saloon down the road from the farm! Mind the shit on the floor! But all the shot glasses are freshly spit-shined.

I don't think so. But the little taqueria down the street does. Sometimes the bartender is passed out and the bar goes on the honor system.

The oldest reference to the magic wand I could find was on page 700 ...

http://eplaya.burningman.org/viewtopic. ... and#132235

... but I know it goes at least as far back as the NEB. Maybe heli knows, he's an old timer.

Here Mo, wanna give it a try?

I don't know...it's on the long list of things I might get around to doing before long. I don't wanna go beyond 2K but I don't have other things in place to support the change.

Or in other words stay tuned....

Also stupid question #2....whenever I load the bar thread I get two popups...one for ICQ, the other is a login for Rent-A-Keg? Am I the only one that gets it?

And thanks for the NEB explanation. I was thinking never-ending bar or something and it didn't make any sense. Heck much of what I'm involved with makes no sense. But that's another story.
