Misa is the one zipping around at the speed of light, checking and elbowing her way to glory!
Have a great time tonight YG and give hugs to my Sacto area buds that are at your Burnal! Catching forty winks this afternoon to be well rested for the mayhem this evening! Have a flask of Ouzo in tow to lubricate the proceedings a tad.

I remember roller derby here.

I think there is a local team starting up again.
I'm having hamantashen here.
Anyone else?
How did I miss these my whole life?

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Yay cartoons and hooray for Misa! Cool pic, congrats on the first of many derbies. I was up and caffeinated early, moving crates arrived and we've been busy all day taking things down and packing things up and I've been running stuff to storage. It's conveniently located only a couple blocks away from the new place, that makes it easy to stage stuff there before we get the keys next week. The shorter the double rent overlap the better. We're also doing our best to use this as an opportunity to purge the stuff we don't need, as well as pack the really infrequently used stuff into separate bins so we can just keep them off in storage. I wish the timing were just a little bit better. Two of our campmates are also doing the move thing and had a housecooling party at the place they're leaving that we ended up having to miss, plus tonight's the burnal equinox shindig a few blocks from here. We get the keys on the same day as the big bay lights night. No way we'll miss the boat shindig with friends, but if things weren't crazy busy with the move I'd love to follow the boat party with the awesome-looking Disorient underground shindig.

Ah hello, barflies. BARF! LIES! oh a warming drink on a cold night, here with you, dusty friends. Cheers!
Got my tickets . . . but not to Burning Man. Unless that guy in Engineering finally uses our pooled money to buy that winning lottery ticket. So much to see on this big globe, it's Vienna and Bratislava's turn.

I only had a day in Vienna. If you run into Harry Lime, buy him a cafe mit for me...
(murdering thug on his way to 1%er...)
On the walk this morning we saw one cat--Catflower-- and there wasn't a lot of bark either... No frogs.

I'll be couch surfing with friends in both cities on account of I'm so "frugal" (cheap bastard), no one-percenting for me. And Lime really IS dead this time, right? That was one dark story.

Frugal schmugal, so long as you're making the trip work as far as I'm concerned.

Got home about 2AM. GREAT PARTY!!!! By 11 it was a building that was one big mosh pit. Energy level through the roof. Saw loads of ARTery and Hushville buds. Wondrous costumes on beautiful people. Creativity over the top. Burgins having a blast! The Ouzo flowed from my flask. Are we there yet? No tennis this morning.
Thanks for the sticky buns, (((LF))). Kick starts the ECM for some high test, heavily caffeinated java and dives into the NEB. Is that you in there, LF?

Re: The Bar, Volume #4
Mornin' campers.
Well, didn't make it to the Burnal Equinox in Nevada City. Since I'm still not drinking (the 30 ends at midnight Wednesday) and I didn't really want to just hang around. But today I'm doing something I haven't done in about three years (and by the looks of things maybe never again): I'm going to a Sacramento Kings game. 3 p.m. matinee against Charlotte. Ticket cost me $5 so I figured what the hell, right?

*pokes head out of IBBOD under NEB*
dang..haha made a post for there this morning and totally forgot to hit "submit"
What a great B.E.!!
some super flame/fire effects and gadgets, including a huge steel skull, that they'd burn until it was glowing red hot! and a lotus flower. and C.B. and other fire companies performed. Wow.
Great music, many different styles and venues.
Ran into several eplayans, even an old timer here, "Caged Kitty", if anyone remembers her.
Costumes (or lack thereof) were great. Much chicanery was to be had, and most was successful.
Had a great breakfast here with Piney, TITWI, Killbuck, NILA, Matty, and OED. what fun.
I sure hope others can make it next year, it really is a great party!! gets ya in "da mood".
