Dang, missed BVB, LCN and Fishy!

So glad you and Karine are making it LCN! yay!

well, heading out early to do some tractor work for a friend. hoping to start at dawn, to get done in one day.
It's only 50 miles, but takes about 2 hours, pulling(and trying to keep slowed down) 10K worth of Bobcat and attachments on hwy 49 across the American River canyon.

Good morning!
I'm having my morning coffee. My weekend version of morning coffee is pretty much a cesspool of coffee, baileys and/or Kahlua, and whatever is left in the bottom of whatever bottles I find in the bar cabinet.
This morning is special, I found a dirty dusty bottle of leftover tequila straight from the playa

F-u-c-k-I-n-g A! Ticket and vehicle pass arrived TODAY.

5 minutes earlier, the laptop crashed. Hard. It's not going to revive. So be it, I still have the big clunky desktop, and so I'll go get the laptop fixed or replaced later today or tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm getting prepped with the little things at Rhino HQ.

Big plus for tonight - CLEAN SHEETS! I'll enjoy sleeping on them while I can

Final plus for the day: the book order arrived, and with it my copy of the new textbook Geochemical Kinetics. Very well written, and quite informative.

In a general way, yes. It's like saying that Ale is the same as Beer. Root Beer is generally more sugary and includes additional flavorings but it is made with extract from the sarsparilla root (hence Root Beer) and/or birch and sarsparilla oils.

I'm at an actual bar, ok it's a "beer garden" at a festival, but the band playing right now is kind of shitty, so I thought I'd check in here for a bit
I poured the First Mate (Charlie) a Klondyke Bar before we left.
Try it it's yummy... equal parts Kahlua, Baileys, Frangelico, RumpleMinz, and half & half.
Tastes like a Klondyke bar!

dang long day yesterday, all day on a tractor, and 2 hours of brake burning canyon beat the hell out of me.....haha

Whoops! I spoke too damn soon! The laptop is back on! I was confronted with the nasty assed blue screen of death, so I unplugged everything, including the battery, and it REBOOTED!

Dadgum. Saves me a trip to the repair store.

Beyond that and the ticket to Burningman arriving yesterday, I'm OK.

103 f today, I'm enjoying iced coffee under the AC and fan. The puppies are flopped out. I'm watching the Captain Jack series on the VCR. I plan to lay out the carpet, tent, and bedding ( in the carport shelter in the front yard ) this evening.
