Morning Yggy! Having a cuppa and then taking Petey to the dog park. After that I will be sorting and working on my weird art for camp. Took today off as I have to work this Saturdday.

Hope you have a great day and thanks for all that protein...

Are you getting smoked out from the fire?
Oh my god, it's HUGE!

Ooooooo! Protein! I learned at the hospital to eat breakfast with lots of protein. Sitting here munching two Protein Bars now, washing them down with a tall Ensure Protein Shake.

Trying to invite my brother to BM. I would have to scrounge up a ticket and a vehicle pass for him, but his letters and telephone calls suggest he is, in a sense, ready to have his mind re-scrambled. (Similar diagnosis as I, in case you follow that sordid soap opera.)

I leave in three weeks, as of a few hours ago.
Checked the fluid in Millicent's transmission yesterday and found it black! Luckily not brown. I changed it this spring, and switched to synthetic, so I'm thinking -- hoping -- the black particles are dirt going back to 1992 that the synthetic fluid washed loose from every idle surface. Never had a transmission heat problem with it, in 43,000 miles including six trips to BM on the old fluid.

Good morning, Sunbeam!

GOod Morning All !

Oh yes Yggy that is a fab breakfast .

Still no sign of a tx after my promised one went elsewhere (which is fine because he is a new camp member who EA will do the heavy lifting) my sons and "not" sons are all working now. But the OMG is Thursday and I won't be in town . Maybe it is time...

AntiM, a few neighbours and I walk for an hour, three days a week, from 7 to 8... It's done me a world of good! So glad this has become a habit. The others seem to appreciate the benefits, too.

If I were really ambitious, I'd ride my bike the other mornings, but none of the others will join me, so, I always manage to find other things to do.

Thanks, Patsch. I struggle with walking, because I have had a lot of foot pain. Getting down to the gym to swim is not simple and steals half a day. I'm investing in heel inserts for most of my shoes.

Same here, though I find if I can power through it, everything else( including my mind) feels much better after a walk.

Back from a week in Austin TX last night. We came home to no less than 10 packages from UPS/USPS.

@aserendipity - the OMG sale is not on Thursday. Registration for the OMG sale begins on Thursday, and will run for several days. Then the sale is next week on Wednesday.

Woohoo for those receiving their ticket orders. I'm still waiting on mine, but am confident it'll get here in time. I'm more anxious about getting all the stuff I want to do finished in time, even though I think I have a pretty decent handle on that, too. Deep breaths, only 3 weeks and change left!

Thank you Trilo for correctly telling it..my BRC "seasonal affect disorder" is making me worry about getting a tx all the time

and for years I have thought I was addiction-less

maybe if I begin a new something I can decrease this emotional dependence. That is what one is taught anyway.

Spoken like a true Aussie. I did a semester abroad at uni there and everyone I met asked 'why here?' Well, because it was a lot cheaper than anywhere else! It had some redeeming qualities, and Sydney was easy enough to get to when I needed a break

I have been dosed, on playa once, and once by accident.

No worries, aserendipity - don't worry about being away on Thursday, just log into your burner profile at some point during the registration window and click the button to pre-register. That will get you cleared for take-off so you can participate in the sale a week from Wednesday.

Not me, Ygmir.... but I'm getting closer. Today I hope to finish up the shopbot work I'll need for the installation. I may have need of the tool next week for an outside project, but that's not essential. I also need to use the laser cutter for a few hours in the next week or two, but that's it as far as CNC machines. The rest is work I can either do at my local workshop joint, or if I had to could do it in the shop I'll bring to the playa. There's still a lot of packing and cooking and other stuff to do, I don't feel like I'll have much trouble keeping busy.

Good Morning All !

Skipping my daily early work out to finish the chores before my daughter arrives tomorrow from Virginia.
Wash the car , and get ready for family onslaught...
It used to be fun ; mixed up with new complications now.
I need to remember that I am supposed to be the go to person to sort those issues out.

Good food and me babbling on about BRC ticket problems will let them think that is really all I care about.
Because of course it is !

Not when it is going to be 100 F out there in a few hours, and I am NOT READY with preparations that need to take place in the unshaded open.
Big improvements (I trust) in the shade structure that attaches to the bus. Eight smaller tarps instead of the single giant one that is so difficult to handle.
20 days until I leave. :D

Mornin' campers!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Yggy and I will be going out to lunch together in Grass Valley in about two hours. Hide your women and daughters! If anybody else is in the general Grass Valley-Nevada City area and would like to join us, lunch is on me! Does my giving have no end?

on a helpful/serious note:

I just signed up and paid (50 bucks for a family membership) for medivac/helicopter ambulance insurance.
I won't mention the company name, but, they serve out of Reno, but with "associate programs" seem to cover most of the west and northwest.

cheap insurance for what can be a devastating bill.

Just a thought.
