Returning to normal Bar chatter.. yeah! I want in the backroom! Yeah!
(wait... somehow... that doesn't feel like it quite matches the whole V Camp concept, eh? Hm.. well, thank goodness this is a virtual bar

1.) Yes I willXta_G wrote:LOL.. and will you convince.. Oh, forgot his name now, but the guy looking at buying that wicked tent that there needs to be a really GOOD support system on the center pole, along with enough of a stage to allow for safe hooping? <grin>

2.)The wicked tent is a sure thing he is waiting for it to arrive.
3.) We are working on separate pole support system
4.) No stage yet

Oh, and I would actually love to accept someone's offer of arranging a cheap bike pickup-able on the playa for me.. that would rock... especially if there was a donation place available afterwards, so I wouldn't become one of the DPW's headaches by leaving said bike behind... :)
(on bike note: prob by Friday I will have a Hoop Cart for my bike.. when I was at home helping my sis clean out Dave's workshop, we came across a kiddie trailer she'd grabbed from someone tossing it, with a cart for me in mind.. Dad was helping with the cleanup, and brought the trailer back to HIS shop and was giving me a webcam tour of the finished cart last night, wooo! talented family rocks..) (ooh, as do the friends-of-family who are bringing the cart down with them to Vancouver when they come to pack their daughter up from university to go home for the summer)

Heh, there's an image I actually haven't had yet, and will have to share with Heather because its pretty damn funny, and accurate... big scary Dave in his leathers, skulking over my shoulder and keeping shenanigans down to a dull roar... not that I ever gave him an opportunity to do that in real life (he was usually crashing after working huge long hours driving and fixing trucks), but he's that type to appreciate a party, and keep it from getting outta hand...

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be ever at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rain fall softly on your fields
And until we meet again, May God hold
you in the hollow of his hand

To Dave!
May the wind be ever at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rain fall softly on your fields
And until we meet again, May God hold
you in the hollow of his hand

To Dave!

Y'know, we might be the most veteran first time Theme Camp on the playa-since Bar Camp is new this year, and isn't an incarnation of any other camp, and has so many experienced burners, with so many skills. It's like a crack team or something.
I like pudding.
I like tea.
I like chocolate.
Do you like me?

Hm... all the more reason why V Camp should merge with Bar Camp, eh?
And, I'd join in with that toast.. <lift red-flavoured floofy drink> To Dave!
<sip> And, to Heather, my bravely carrying-on sis who has gone back to her become-a-certified-electrician class at college a week and a half later, and is expected to continue her trend of topping the class on all exams.. (though of course we're all not pressuring her to be like that.. she's kinda waiting to see if she's gonna fall apart at some point or not.. and she may, but she'll get through it...)
Heather's gonna come to BM next year :) Double the trouble...

These are dreads not braids.. and sometimes the "braids made my hair fall out!" is just them noticing the strands that are loose and caught up in the braid, that would have normally fallen out or been brushed away, but are just being noticed because they are trapped in place...
Yeah, I'm not really sure what's gonna happen with these.. I plan to keep them in til Sept, at least, and if they aren't doing well, then it all comes off, and I promised a friend I'd go blonde again... (digging up picture, brb)

Here's an oldie.. six or seven years ago, was changing haircolour weekly.. pink, then it would fade, so I'd bleach it all again, then the brown roots would grow, so orange, then it would fade.. repeat, spend, spend, spend...
So.. do you figure having a camp of so many veterans will be a GOOD thing, or will there just be that many more "cooks in the kitchen"?

Snappity bam snap bam! Hello Xta_G, Rock, DD, TITWI, BigC(still around?) I'm like 3 minutes away from bed. I would have been in here 20 minutes ago, lest the need to read the past 10 pages to catch up. Yes, Camp V to join Bar Camp...awsome idea if everyone is game (seriuosly, though Xta_G, this proposed Bar theme Camp is the epitome of good, caring folk that have great senses of humor and put a big freaking "f" in the word "fun". Snap.

Heh, thanks...
I just realized that photo was taken in the two-person jacuzzi Heather and Dave had in their custom double-wide TRAILER.
"trailer park trash"? Nuh uh.. their trailer was/is nicer than any place *I*'ve lived...
Hi CC... sorry about all the pics of me :( Like my own little ego-fest in here tonight, geesh..
