I'm still here, but gotta go. Up early to take car to shop then figure out how to get to work. Good night RockDad, Mozy - whoever is still around. Sweet dreams.

This is body work - I was hit by a truck on the way to work on Friday. Mack semi vs. Corolla - I think I got off lightly, considering we were on the interstate going 65. Just a nuisance to go have it fixed, even if he's paying. Just happy to be alive - for a few seconds after the impact I wondered. All I could think was "what a stupid way to go". I'm fine. The car lost a mirror and has circular gouges from his wheel hub. Like I said, got off lightly.

Gooood morning.. I didn't mean to be so antisocial last night, but my internet connection was cranky :(

Mozy! I like the pic of me hooping on da Playa! Roomie looked at it, and said "they edit your pictures??" so I had to explain the tradition...

And, can we request equal-opportunity sexpots on the Bar Camp poster? C'mon... nakedness should include hot men, too :)

Oh, and did you know that the blanket being sent up to ..(is it Sput? I can't remember, or scroll back to a previous page) is an official Hudsons Bay trading blanket? Used to be able to trade blankets for beavers <grin> How's THAT for a new spin on Playa gifting?

No, not indigenous - but seasonally, there are plenty of beavers on the playa. They tend to hide under the bushes. Occasionally you will see the wild one involved in mating dances.

Tiptoes through beaver-infested minefield, grabs a drink and heads out. Later, amigos.

I recall just one photo that provoked outrage, rather than debate or finger-wagging - Isotopia posted something involving a distended anus and a fish. So the line is somewhere between here and there.

but U R going to have to trap your own beavers...

I bet there are some in your neighborhood...wild ones too. Even the somewhat rare Brazilian Beaver
