The event can be so fucking hard on relationships--not even sexual ones, just relationships. It's a hot house of human stuff, and the sad stuff crops up more than we admit.

It's the night before I go in. I'm in Lovelock, Nevada right now. Went to the Black Rock Grill here (note the name) and spent a half hour in the casino. Put $3.00 in the slots. Left with $3.25.$0.25 for a half-hour of poker....I was amused. I still came out on the long end of the stick.
Tomorrow, I meet Lena and NerdyGirl in Empire and empty the Beacon's storage shed from the stuff that' there. Then, INTO BRC!!!!!

The playa weather temps will be near perfect. Looking forward to the event. See you all with stories when we return.

We're a solid day behind schedule but we're moments away from leaving Reno finally so that's good and as one our my early entry companions pointed out that just means we will have less work to do with just us before other campers start arriving tomorrow. I guess that's a good way to look at it.
