I do not know about the rest of the state but I am living in the sweet spot of the whole US weather system as far as I can tell. Every bad weather front heads right for us here. When it gets to within about 30 miles of us it breaks and goes another direction. We get the benefit of the rain from the very edge of the storm but none of the really ba weather.

Fudge. I went onto Tribe-ster last night, and read/ had alot of comments to give on Bar Camp and the "other" special room, but It wouldn't let me post. Of course I found out after I wrote a super sincere, long post just to have it putt out. Hope it was just temporary. (slurp)

BoxB...sounds definitly like a "default" bar night :) (music) 'Let it rain, let it rain'
TITWI!!! Good to here from ya this morn. Yeah, got up to the station, set up all my gear (two keyboards, Peavey Messenger, PV6, Zoom MRS-8, effects & a sustain pedal) CM1 Condeser mic, etc). I fought as hard as I could for as long as I could, but S.A.M was putting out the beats to fast...exhausted  . Definitly my thoughts about a tie-breaker, here in about 6 months (or, after I came back from the desert...try to see a machine strip my passion away then :D !

BoxB, the game was me vs. KEOL's automation (24/7) program...it put's out the songs and I re-mix them live. Think IBM's "Deep Blue" computer vs. Gary Kasparov (World Chess Champ)...except musically.

NOTE TO SELF: Add "corkboard" (dry erase board?) on ePlaya Bar Camp: Artifacts.
A corkboard in the bar will be super handy to tack notes to if people leave or are passing through (give heads up where went, silly/funny notes, etc.)

Hey ED, I've been thinking more about COFFEE CAMP as we get closer...going to start buying large jars of java every weekend, and come camp time, should have a pallet! How do you buy your caffeine needs? All at the same time, or little by little?
Gotta love Costco.....We buy all at once, fresh beans at Costco: San Fran Bay brand, French Roast. Usually roasted about 5-10 days before we buy it, the week before THE TRIP. It's not the best, like maybe 2nd or 3rd, but it still tastes damn good on playa mornings. Then to Home Depot for about a dozen 5gal bottles of water. Together makes for a good playa *buzz*, waaaay better then Centercamp assemblyline br,ewwww.

ED, I used to be a Gold Member at CostLess :) I know exactily the whole beans you're talking about, not bad at all. There is a bulk grocery store here...can get 2lbs. of whole bean dark roast for $4.00. I say anything whole bean and grounded is better than canned pre-ground. Yeah, every year we've went out as COFFEE CAMP, we always learn from the previous year of how much to get, think it's enough, but end up running out a day short. This year, I want to have enough coffee on hand to kill a small elephant (metaphorical), and even then, still have a back-up supply. Between our camp and Espresso Camp, there will be some highly caffeinated burners and Bar Camper's :D

http://www.eou.edu/keol
Most of the time have a traveling band to interview, which is great fun. Will post again when it gets closer to another Friday...but right now...me and you have to focus on doing some good deeds for the day to account for all the dirty dancing drinking time tonight (angel/devil metaphor :D )
Good bye!

Hey all... Thought I'd bop in and get totally sloshed!!

Been that kind of a week. First, the IRS denied me on my audit - at the ink of a bueraucrats pen went from my refund to almopst 4 grand in debt. Mother f***ers. Gonna make BRC a fucking challenge and a half to make.

Add to that I got a first edition book in the mail and the people selling it folded thw back cover when they put it in the shipper, totally killing the value. Grrr... (and it's from the 70's, hard to find)

Was gonna take one of those "intro" flying lessons (yeah, I want to get my pilots license) but the price went from their $59 intro price ot about $200 when I went to sign up. Is that not right or what???

Big meeting of the church muckymucks on the same day as my sweetie's art opening on the 10th. Since I'm one of them, I gotta be there. (Yeah, don't tell anyone, would ruin my reputation of a dastardly evil broad!! Then again, you know what they say about Catholic Girls... >heh heh heh<)

There's more, but I dare not mention. Let's just say...

I think it's time to get totally RIPPED!!! Margaritas, anyone?

(Add to list - heavy duty blender to make margaritas!)
