Zues said;
"First of all can’t you spell or would that be a sin for you? "
Followed by;
"Mel is anti-sementic" Mel doesn't like semen????
Zues, I don't use spell-check. It would lead me to laziness. It's obvious that small things slip through. I don't sweat the small shit. Just as long as my message is understandable.

I shouldn't have said that I don't like Jews,,,,too inclusive. I should have said that I don't like any group that includes a criminal element.
I guess that that criteria is even more inclusive.
I do however recognise that many "bad" groups have a large percentage of good members. I try to take each individual for their own good or bad. I've met plenty of fine people who happened to be Jewish.It didn't affect my view of them.

I have no faith in any theocracy. The nut-cases go way overboard.
I'm very aware of who killed who in WWII. I've been to Madenhausen and Dachau. My mother came through Germany with the "Army of Liberation" She saw first-hand. The Austrian killed Jews and the Russian killed Christians. I was talking about rememberance of the dead,,, not responsibility.

This thread originally started as an examination of what the appropriate response should be for a public denunciation of a particular racial group.
Rick did a long post about people who think it's "hip" to use the word "nigger" when speaking to blacks about other blacks.

In the final analysis, I don't see any posibility of agreement. In the spirit of co-existing as a larger community, I think that avoidance of slurs is the best means for avoiding hatred. Mel blew it.
I don't post things because I believe that they are the absolute truth. I post them because I believe that they should be considered.

Yes, but what does he say about about Blacks speaking to other blacks or what David chappelle has done to remake the word nigger as a friendly gesture of endearment.

at the time that david was doing this, I was about to go up to some aquaintences of mine that I knew were white supremists and say, "how's my homey niggers do'in!" I didn't. Thought I would be dead about as soon as if I had said it in Harlem NY.

David and me we're too futuristic for this world and its holding us back.

Zues, the word may be losing some of it's sting. "Paddy" has gone that way. Still, I don't think that anyone should try to bring the word nigger into the common lexicon. Too much hatred,, too much history.

It would be better if the word was retired. There are plenty of other derogatory words that should suffice that don't carry the racial part.
We are slowly trying to erase some of the exclusionary aspects of race and religion.
I don't see any good coming out of a revived use of the word nigger in common language.

PS,,, DVD, I'm sure that you're squirming in your socks. Too much of the N word. Like all odious things, it needs to be brought to light and then disposed of properly.
