I don't think I could ever go back to bottling.
Maybe down to 2 liter soda plastic soda bottles but never back to bottles themselves. What a pain they are.

I was thinking that, GD......and, convenient storage here at home.
I have 5 gallons that's been aging for 6 months or so, and, if it's as good as I hope, when I tap it, it'd be cool to be able to freeze.
I know the alcohol will interfere with freezing at certain temps, and, the concentration will effect that as well.
What I'm wondering more is will it effect the flavors?

My understanding is that it won't freeze completely, it will just freeze most of the water, making the liquid more concentrated.

yeah, the stuff you helped me make.
I've sort of forgotten, so, it's been in the container, under pressure, ever since.
I'm hoping it mellowed.
but, thought "meadsicles" would be a kick.

Ygmir, I tried this with Chaucer's, which is sweet. I think that the high sugar interfered with the experiment, and it was slushy and the liquid that I seived out was very sweet.
Do you have a dry mead? You might want to try with that. Before the weather warms up. ;)
