sulking about a bit, the whole "ragged claws scuttling the floors of silent seas" comes to mind as i lurk under the show and occasionally analyse the silt that falls. i realize the pick-and-choose is probably one of the more benefitial attitudes to hold now. but i am a bit past that point. still leaning towards taking a year or two off to hopefully regain passion and perspective, besides, that usually lets me regain my appreciation for the people who i admre and love so much when i miss them.

strangely enough, i dont think i ever quite recovered from being a mod. its enough to compromise anyone's sanity and optimism.

I can see that. I'm sometimes seen as a voice of reason here, but there's something to be said for not having to set an example all the time...

thirt33n's posting style reminded me of CabanaSprings at first...I had no idea who it really was.
By the way along with the ranch cats have you considered glue traps? When I moved here to Nebraska we had a mouse invasion. D-Con sucked, they went right past spring traps and we didn't have cats yet. I ended up buying $40 worth of glue traps...I had my first mouse within 60 seconds of putting the first trap on the ground, and by the 4th day I no longer had people jumping up on tables in the middle of the day that were scared of a freakin mouse.

Now if there was only an effective, non-toxic way of dealing with bees and spiders....anyway I'll shutup and quit drifting.

Glue traps are the best. That was the death this mouse was apparently trying to avoid.

I heard that, at best, the ultrasonics only work for a short time.
Any personal experience?

They make rat shot down to .22 calibre if you want immediate results.

Absolutely YES! I used to have a small army of roof rats invading my home until I got a good quality ultra sonic repellent online. It absolutely works......even keeps raccoons and skunks and ants out as well. And that's a fact jack!

oh...12 gauge stuff....good for target practice on Bill O'Reilly and Anne Coulter books....,...

Re-taking my thread, if only for the moment.

It may be a simple matter of not participating much her and at the Man, but my perception is that there's an absence of creativity, both on eplaya and at the Burn.

It feels like the latter days of the Grateful Dead scene. The main attraction has gone decadent, not in the commonly understood sense of unrestrained debauchery, but in the way an old apple tree gets. The fruits become smaller and less sweet and the accumulation of dead limbs allows room for parasites and other destructive pests.

Every form of art and experience has its limitations, and I believe both Burning Man and Eplaya have reached theirs.

It should also be apparent that despite the general enviro/anti-corporate conscience of the masses at BM, this event is a colossal waste of resources and could not be accomplished without an equally massive amount of purchasing from every corporation that sells stuff.

That oil-derrick thing was the stupidest, most hypocritical thing I ever saw.
Anyone who does any of that fire spinning stuff but then criticizes the petroleum industry is like-wise naive and self-indulgent.

With the increases in scale have come the inevitable restrictions in behavior. Watching people get carded/questioned at the Booby Bar last year was a total buzz kill. There is an overwhelming desire to keep everything nice and safe and comfortable. I can get that at home, without the bother and the waste.

Even though our theme at Booby Bar was something about battling cancer or supporting its victims, this particular venue (and many, many others) was a non-stop celebration of carcinogen consumption. Just think of all the goddamned bacon we ate. It was as though we all owned thousands of shares in tobacco companies and pig farms. Come on, people. Get real. Or don't. Who cares and what does it matter?

So there ya go, folks. This is SED, alias Jew Boy, alias Jub Jub calling it like I see it and leaving it all to you. If I ever return to this forum, it will be with an entirely new handle/sock, but I'm trying my best to move on.

Now it's all yours, DVD.
For this I left Poland?

Shall I imitate SED aka jewboy aka blabber for attention?.....

"blah blah blah blah blah blah blah it's not the same anymore
blah blah blah blah blah you've heard this a million times already
blah blah blah blah something about trees and fruit
blah blah blah blah if i ever come back again
blah blah blah blah does anyone care
blah blah blah blah lost of you agree but would rather be blissfull in your ignorance because you can still find the magic
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

jewboy, your points, in my opinion, are pretty valid to a certain degree and that degree is in the mind each beholder. just like "the american dream" in the default world, it's all going down. everything is getting diluted. some will continue to find the light, the greatness that will be present forever, and some will be the muck and some will find it satisfying to shine their light on the negatives and in their own way help the world to see the problems they already know are there.

I'm sure you can figure out which kind of person you are in MY analysis.

your kind are a little annoying to me, however, it seems like the most fun is had here on eplaya when there is someone to point to and release our "intelligent" attacks on. Although this is not really an attack on you, I think it's a sure thing that you'll definitely feel the need to "come back" to eplaya
and respond therefor keeping eplaya a flaccid version of a cool thing. and we all know that a flaccid version of a cool thing is better than no version of a cool thing because of viagra.

so with respect, SED aka viagra...fuck off

Don't take them out. They are not your friend. They will come back. They will breed, they can hurt you. They live for 3 years and continue to grow. Kill them. Little spider glue traps work the best. Other spiders kill them too.

When the fall comes, September-ish, they will come in your house. Kill them.

Sorry by take out I meant kill. You know using the silly old east coast phrasing. What freaks me out is I didnt realize they were poisonous. Freaky.

Yawn. In tonight's news, SED says he won't be back to the eplaya! Film at 11!

This place is like crack, and thirt33n is right, you'll be back. Hell you're probably lurking now just waiting with baited breath to see who responds to you.

So go work through your sock creation process, come up with another name and get your ass back here. Yeah, the event was better last year, we all know that. Now if you said you can't go because the budget isn't there that's one thing but your post...well it just sucks.

I have a little dreidel
I made it out of clay
And when it's dry and ready
Then dreidel I shall play!

chorus:
Oh - dreidel, dreidel, dreidel
I made it out of clay
And when it's dry and ready
Then dreidel I shall play!

It has a lovely body
With legs so short and thin
And when my dreidel’s tired
It drops and then I win!

chorus

My dreidel’s always playful
It loves to dance and spin
A happy game of dreidel
Come play now, let’s begin!

chorus

Well SED. you percieve that there is a a problem. With Eplaya, with Burning Man, with the B(o)(o)by Bar And with all the people involved in it. Well let me tell you something.

You can't fix it if you don't participate.

the amount of bacon we consume and the resources that we use to come to this event neither causes or prevents the problem. Whatever it is that you percieve it to be.

running away will not fix it.

I think I know what the problem is. And I think that I even know how to resolve it. I might even know what the question is. I can't do anything about it if I don't participate. and I am certain that I know the answer!
