Life is really complex; I guess if I had to have a regret it would be not being born with enough entelligence to understand it all.ygmir wrote:thanks JK, nice response,
I appreciate it.
I do have one misgiving:
when you say you could tell what he was just saying to get votes..........
dang,
for me, that's saying it's ok to lie, as long as you win........dang, that just sits wrong with me...........
dang again.....
I understand where you come from on that, and, think I understand that, IYO, winning for him was more important than anything else..............
in your situation, I may even do the same thing.
It's just sad for me that things are what they are........
I'm moving to the hills, getting some lederhosen, wool pants, and alpen horn, shorts with suspenders, and herding goats like grandpa on Hiedi............
Is it ok to lie? That's another one of those tough questions. We lie to our kids all the time--for their own good? Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, drugs, etc. Is that so bad?
Does the end justify the means? Who am I to say?
I'm just putting my money on this horse and keeping my fingers crossed. Lots of unexpected things can happen in a horse race.
If he stumbles or fails to live up to expectations, there will be no benefit to me in defending the obvious. I was a Bush supporter immediately after 9/11 through Afhghanistan.
Do you have the legs for liederhosen?
JK
